[It's been a while since Kili's shown his face in public, and as the feed starts, it becomes apparent as to why. The young dwarf is terribly pale, a gleam of sweat shining on his brow and dark shadows beneath bloodshot eyes. He's been ill, very much so, and it's only really now that he's become conscious enough to speak.

Some words are difficult to understand as his voice is mostly gone, and what is understandable is spoken in a rough, croaky tone.]

I will pay for someone to bring me food, and ale if possible. I have coin or I can pay you back in fresh game, once I-- [He's interrupted by a harsh cough.] Once I can hunt again.

[He's half tempted to ask for a healer. He may be getting better, but he still feels awful. His pride rebels against the idea. He's a dwarf, he's strong. He can handle this on his own. It's difficult enough to admit he's too weak to fetch himself food.]

If I could get that soon.

[Kili shifts a little at that.] I would...be uncomfortable with accepting something without payment. [He turns his head aside to cough a few times before focusing back on Aster.]

I haven't gone anywhere, I've been bedridden since we got back from the beach. [His tone is bitter and frustrated. It's difficult for an energetic young dwarf to stay still!]

[The money isn't necessary, but if Kili really wants to pay he has another idea in mind. He would rather just give him the food.]

Perhaps you could give me information instead? That would be a valuable payment.

[He's interested in learning more about dwarfs. It's not an opportunity he would have on his world.]

I see. If it gets any worse, you should call on one. I am sure they would make a house call.

Depends on what you'd like to know. [If it's anything on Thorin or the quest, Kili's lips are sealed. But otherwise? No problem.]

I've got a friend that's skilled in these sort of things that's visiting soon.

It's nothing serious. I would simply like to know more about dwarves. The culture and history of them in your world, among other things.

[Info on dwarves for soup cans. That's good, right? Right.]

Oh. [His expression smooths out a bit.] Aye, alright. I'll share what I can.

[Aster can't hide the fact he's pretty happy right now. ]

Okay. That can wait until you are feeling better. You should concentrate on resting for now.

[He takes a moment to recall what he has to give up. It's pretty much all canned.]

Do you have a can opener?

[Kili smiles and inclines his head.] Thank you.

[The request puzzles him, and he shakes his head.] I...don't know what that is.

[That answers the question well enough.]

It's a small metal tool that can piece through containers of food. I will bring one along with the food.

Like a dagger? [Kili's extremely curious now.]

In the sense that it's sharp, I suppose so.

[How to describe it? Aster shuts his eyes in thought. It would be easier to just draw it if he had any artistic skills to speak of.]

However, it looks nothing like a dagger and I do not believe it could be used as a weapon.

[Kili nods, though he looks rather puzzled more than anything.]
