It has nothing to do with that. Expecting someone to die for you because they care about you is terrible.

What if you're willing to die for them as well?

Being willing to die for someone is different than wanting someone to die for you.

I suppose you have to word it as someone you know will be willing to die for you, but you don't necessarily want them to.
