How on earth do they make the little images move -- ? [ but it is no real, matter. She's learning to just accept the fact she doesn't understand how half this stuff works ] I've a few questions that I cannot ascertain simply from watching if I may be so bold... [ she licks her lips briefly before continuing. ] ... where does one find material to make clothes from? As I've yet to make sense of the items I find here made already, but the clothes I arrived in are... not fitting for most daily activities. [ It had only one layer of clothing and... no. No that seems wrong and strange and not at all decent. ]

As well as... [ she lent her head on her hand as she hummed. Making requests is strange, there ought to be people swarming about her, accompanying her wherever she went but now there isn't and its so odd to ask. ] Would I be able to request someone to take a walk about the city with me? Someone who is familiar with the times, so to speak, as I find myself unable to make sense of very much of it. England was a very different place to me, and I cannot make heads nor tails of her now. I do not ever recall her raining so much. [ and she smiles very briefly. ]

That is certainly a great deal of time indeed. [ She paused, pressing her lips together, thinking a moment. ] Could you tell me of this war we are supposed to be fighting?

[ She doesn't what kind of war it is at all, that they speak of. ]

We have been recruited to fight against an enemy that means harm to us all. As you are now in this time, so our enemies can go back to ruin our own worlds. We are here to fight for those who claim to help us and to help themselves.

[ She struggles between keeping up her lady like ignorance of these things and her rather too involved curiosity. Biting her lip before she decides rather promptly, to hell with it. Somethings are more important. ]

What of these missions I hear of? Have there been any attacks on the city directly? It seems not very much like a siege though we are shut in the strangest way. They told me all of it very quickly, and I was in such a state of shock ... [ that so very little of it had sunk in at all. ]

There have been several attacks on the city, so far. Some by bombs, some by illness. The siege is not just the city, but of time itself. They say the enemy ruins all worlds, not only this one.

[Better to be informed than to be ignorant. Feigning can come later, when the luxury of information is easy to come by.]

[ She nods, as if filing the information and calculating it. ]

Thank you. [ Someone who spoke in a way that she understood. ] Are there any other kind of battles apart from that? I hear people speak of missions, but I do not understand there meanings at all.

The missions are a part of our battles. Some are less violent than others, but they are meant to cripple our enemies.

A war fought in dark corners then? Rather than on some field of honor?

There are many forms of war, signora. Some fields are more obvious than others.

I know them well, sir. As one can only know them in the service of a Queen. [ there's a pause, forming the words to check that they are wise before she speaks. But she's got to give to trust to have any kind of allies here. That matters more. ] ... and if there is any way I can assist on the battlefields that are less obvious... you need only ask, signore.
