[ the tablet is sat in Elizabeth's lap, she hasn't worked out really how it works beyond hitting buttons until something seemed to happen. Which she's frowning so at it then far too pleased with herself when it seems to do what she wants it to. ]
How on earth do they make the little images move -- ? [ but it is no real, matter. She's learning to just accept the fact she doesn't understand how half this stuff works ] I've a few questions that I cannot ascertain simply from watching if I may be so bold... [ she licks her lips briefly before continuing. ] ... where does one find material to make clothes from? As I've yet to make sense of the items I find here made already, but the clothes I arrived in are... not fitting for most daily activities. [ It had only one layer of clothing and... no. No that seems wrong and strange and not at all decent. ]
As well as... [ she lent her head on her hand as she hummed. Making requests is strange, there ought to be people swarming about her, accompanying her wherever she went but now there isn't and its so odd to ask. ] Would I be able to request someone to take a walk about the city with me? Someone who is familiar with the times, so to speak, as I find myself unable to make sense of very much of it. England was a very different place to me, and I cannot make heads nor tails of her now. I do not ever recall her raining so much. [ and she smiles very briefly. ]
My thanks for your time.
[ ooc: my mistake, this should read as coming from Victoria Guildford. forgot to add it in, all my apologies for the confusion. ]

Good intentions are not something she trust any longer. ]
Out of the goodness of your own heart? [ Her voice is restrained. ] I know very little of killing and in am in all things quite ordinary. [ I'm God's anointed sovereign of this realm. But those words remain unspoken. ] So if it is plain you seek, I have only a woman's errands to do and you will find much thanks for it.
[ She would always feel better with a guard, here at least. ]
video;
"I dunno about the goodness of my own heart, but back home lotta big people stepped on lotta small ones, and I had this irritating habbit of stickin my nose in it. That and look around this place, good will ain't in high supply and maybe givin some out will get some back some day. Maybe seein we're just as human as they are will settle the mind of the common folk round here."
He shrugs again and rubs his chin a bit.
"That and knowin of killing ain't a great thing to know. I find it wearies a man's soul after long enough and shouldn't be done unless it has to be."
video;
There was reasons she preferred men the court frowned upon. They were honest and true, even if they had much to be desired where breeding was concerned. ]
Well, in such a case, if you meet me at the entrance to the apartments, I would happily have you accompany me. If you say you know this place as well as any, all I ask is that you show me where one can find decent ale or win to drink.
video;
He nods a bit and moves to stand up.
"I'll be there in a few then, want to check my long arm just in case. Don't see needin it but I've done the body guard thing before."
video;
[ and she fumbles for a good moment, trying to find the stop button. But she finds it eventually and off it goes. ]

video -> action;
action;
Jim will be down at the front, he looks the same as the video, slightly unshaven mercenary look, but now he has a rather large looking long arm strapped to his back and a pistol of some sort strapped to his hip. He will nod when he sees old queenie.
action;
But subtle doesn't come into it, not to her at least. Either way, she's still a woman of court, and everything she is, is flashy. All the same, she greets him with a brief curtsey and a smile. Her eyes linger a moment on the weapon he has, but seems to think not too much of it. Men as she is used to them, so often carried swords with them.
"Greetings... Forgive me, I did not hear your name before?"
action;
"Name is Jim Raynor Miss. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."
action;
And truly she's never had a body guard in this sort of sense. She's had guards. A whole group of them. But she was queen and they were servants and though she always treated them with fondness, it was seldom with a true friendship. They had their jobs and she had hers.
But he bowed, and she could count on one hand the amount of people who bowed to her when she met them here, and she found that worth noting. "Shall we be about it then?"
action;
He moves next to her, letting her lead but in a position to be able to see the whole area.
"You carrying coin or barter right? They get really upset if you try and pay with card in town."
action;
Which in the end she prefers him walking beside her, that way she can talk to him, and in the end, he can tell her easily enough if she's about to walk to somewhere she shouldn't.
"I have coin, and..." her fingers caught on her pearls, and it's a slight trick. But she'd found she could pull pearls away, two or three of them. They seemed to be replaced instantly on the loop. "These."
She looked down at them, then up at him. "May I give you a gift? In thanks for this?"
action;
"If you like Miss. Wasn't in the negotiations but I ain't one to say no. You sure you'll be able to run all yer errands if you do?"
action;
"I've still the money that they gave me as my stipend. It is the least I could do for your kindness to me."
action;
He smiles and peers at the pearls before tucking them into his vest pocket.
"Now then, On ta finding you your fineries." He grinned and nodded.
action;
"Onwards then." But even as she began walking, she kept pace with him, happier to keep it far less formal that she would be with her own guards. All the same when they got closer to shops, she'd look about, eying up certain things and being unimpressed by others.
