[After near radio silence for more than a month, Thereth is suddenly posing a question to the network. Her voice is sharper than normal, harsh and direct instead of gentle and obtuse. The faint ambient noises around her suggest that she is outside, rather than in her apartment.]
If the Initiative is capable of time travel, then do they know our futures? Do they know their future? Is this all destined to succeed, or are they attempting to change what results in a failure?
[The device is handled roughly for a moment before it turns off with a sharp click.]

[The fact that mamacow seems perturbed isn't lost on the little blue mammal.]
...Uh, somethin' wrong, Thereth?

[His question finally penetrates her brain, and she stops ranting to rub at her face and try to calm down. Yeah, she's not feeling good at all.]
I...feel unwell. Forgive me.

Unwell? Like, like how?

It...it is only a mood. It will pass. [Guilty, guilty...] But I may not be home much.

[Sonic... Sonic, no...]

No. [Oops that was sharp. :x ] Company...would not be good right now.
Forgive me.

[She trails off, having confused herself. And actually makes a bit of a grumbling noise.]
Every instance that we go back in time, we change that time's future. Yes? So they can see into futures, as they know what to have us do to change them. Then they must be able to see the future of this time.

It seems as if they can see the past, at the minimum. But if they knew this venture would fail, I'm not sure they'd even attempt it--so either they don't know, or it's been seen to succeed.
voice
If they knew it was a success, then would it not help us to show us that success? Surely we would all be more willing to help then!

[Have you ever heard a cow snort in frustration? It is a very interesting noise! Also a cow who almost sounds pouty? Not at Sango, at least, but still, pouty.]
I dislike both of these scenarios...
voice
No one claimed that our situation is the best.

The past month, all I have done is gather rocks on a beach.

Point taken, but still.

Forgive me, Sango. [She does feel bad about it.] Being...still...for so long is...difficult. I feel as though there is...nothing for me to do.

I understand... restlessness gets the best of us all. I guess training doesn't help much, does it?

[ and, finally, alisha knows something! time travel haunts her like a very bad stench, but she knows, from what has happened with simon, that just because one can time travel doesn't mean they know what's destined to happen. they just know the possibilities. she sounds a little like she knows something about this, what with that authoritative tone of voice and everything. ]
Not unless they've got the ability to actually see into the future.

But if they can see the future, don't you think there'd be more umbrellas available when all the new people come in?
[ basically, she has no answer. ]

Then they just don't care. [...8(. ] We are pawns and nothing more.
