I'm plenty sure I've met some of you, however for those of you who don't know me, I'm Hubert Oswell. In my world, I am lieutenant of the Stratahn military, though I suppose such rankings are lost here. [Still, there's a pride in his voice as if to say he's probably better than a good lot of you here. Social skills, he does not have them.]

Other than seeing how the device worked and perhaps following up on the aftermath of that bombing, I honestly have nothing more to say. I haven't had the chance to really keep up as I've been researching, so I suppose this is also my attempt at reaching out to the populace on what I should be paying attention to as I've only been paying attention to select things on this device. I figured now is the time to fully learn its functions.

They're not completely useless. If nothing else, it's an indicator that you're not a civilian.

Yes, that's true. Only us Transports have received these devices, though I assume they were given so we could plot with one another, not hold face to face conversations about how our day went.

They don't seem to particularly care, really.

The Initiative largely seems to expect us to organize ourselves, and that organization simply doesn't happen among a bunch of civilians without any leadership. Especially when they're all from different worlds.

Organization only occurs when someone decides to step up and take the lead. Such a position, however, is stress filled and not many are qualified to take it. I would be more than happen to take on such a position, however my experience in this place is still naught.

If you made it to that rank, you must be at least passable. Unless you were in some sort of special division?

I was raised to be in military rank. Anything less was unacceptable.

I've not been here long, but I've spent a lot of time on this tablet already, so I may be able to walk you through some things. However, you said you were in the military back home? You know... I'm starting to wonder if that isn't what this place needs to get better organized. To be treated like a real troop. Ranks, boot camp, medals, the whole nine yards.

If I could be capable of such organization in this place, I would have been on it already. However, it's already chaotic taking care of my brother and his friends who are also here as with me.

Well I'm not saying it's something you alone have to do. In all honesty, it's the Initiative who should have set something up like that. If they wanted an army, they should have treated this like one from the start.

Either their structure is lacking, or perhaps what they want isn't even an army of some sorts. It's something I'm still looking into.

Missions, a war, giving us weapons... If it's not an army they want, I have no idea what it could be. Perhaps even they don't know what they want.

They only work on Exsilium normally, but otherwise.... Think how amazing this could be back home!
