What is it that the United Earth wants from the Initiative that keeps us alive? That last curbstomping we received doesn't leave much room for debate about our chances.

Is it the tech? Are we a propaganda tool? An experiment?

Throw some ideas out there.

[He shrugs lightly, leaning against the door frame. The look on his face is distant.] If they managed to do what they did to New York to other major cities - and from what I've heard, they did - there's not much left there, if anything. The UE really fucked that place hard. The fact that they can do that to a whole planet, but haven't bothered to wipe us out yet, is pretty weird. So they probably need us for somethin'.

I think we should find that out instead of all these other missions we were going on. Especially if they start them up again.

I agree, really. Last thing we should be doin' is leading them to new 'n' exciting places to completely fuck over.

We have to figure out how they followed us, though. We need more people infiltrating the UE and finding out about them. I don't know how far along the Initiative is on that, but they'd have to be far too stupid to pull off any of this if they haven't at least started.

Easier said than done, considerin' how tight the UE is. But yeah. If they're gonna spy on us, we oughta spy right back. I'd even volunteer, if I didn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Well, we know what their soldiers look like, but their regular citizens might be a bit more unique and less.... clone look-a-like creepy. I know we have people here who've been inside. We should probably ask them.

Maybe... [He really doubted he'd fit in, though. Still, he knows his power would be incredibly useful for gathering info, so he'd be willing to go. Even if he hated using it.] There's gotta be info on this somewhere, too. The library or somethin'. I mean, this is all probably a terrible idea, but we gotta do something. The UE is just bulldozing us. Who knows how long it'll be till they finally finish us off for good. We can't just sit around 'n' wait for that to happen.

Infiltrating the UE is hardly the shittiest idea we could come up with. [He grins.] Maybe we can win over their hearts with music? At least it's more interesting than the constant rebuilding.

[That gets a little smirk.] If rock 'n' roll could save the world, we'd have been in paradise ages ago.

[Eyebrows lift.] It'll be Europop and House that'll save the world. That's why it's still hell right now.
