[There’s a teenage girl seated at one of the many tables in the library, flicking absent-mindedly through a large brown textbook. Although the cover is faced down and the viewers can't see the title, a closer look at the shelves in the background will reveal that she is in the History section. When she speaks, she appears to be talking more to herself than to the network]

Oil deposits in 2015 AD… [She sighs and closes the book, placing on the table] That’s not too long after my timeline… [Even if this Earth is supposedly a different one from the one she came from, it’s still unnerving to read about. Finally, she turns her attention away from the book and glances directly at the camera of the tablet]

I was wondering…what kind of worlds were people pulled from? How many of you recognise names like “America”, “Germany” and “Japan”?

Those places don't exist where I come from, although a lot of people have asked if I'm Japanese. Besides a few basic differences, some of our worlds seem a lot alike! It's pretty neat. And then you get the ones that are totally fantastic.

I haven't really had a chance to hear about the other worlds...but I can see why they would think you were...

Those are places we have in my world, too! [And 2015 AD--] 2015 isn't much past my timeline, either.

It's hard to imagine all of this happening in the future...

[She Earth she knows is a little crazy at times...and wars have happened in the past...but nothing like this...]

I recognize some of these. Germany is a country in my time and I understand America will become a country in the future. But, Japan I have not heard of.

Japan is to the easy of where you're from...about half a day's journey by plane.

Not me. No Japan, no Germany, no America, no dating system which would make the date 2015 AD make any sense.

But I've been here long enough to pick up what those mean.

[Asbel stands by one of the bookcases in the same section, one hand resting on a shelf, and the other balancing an open book detailing the history of what used to be Asia. It's pretty dry reading, in all honesty. Normally he'd accompany Hubert, but today he had a little extra time before training and decided to swing by.]

[He glances up curiously when he hears the girl speak.]

Oil? That's one of the resources the nations of this world have actively fought over, isn't it?

[Rima turns her head slightly to look at the person who had addressed her. She had subconsciously been aware of a few others in the library, but decided not to make conversation in favour of finding out as much as she could from the textbooks first]

I guess I'm not entirely surprised...

Some people have called my world a 'renfest planet'. We have castles, and horse-drawn carts, and use bows instead of guns. And we have magic. So I would say it's very different from where you are from.

I don't recognize those names except from reading things here, trying to learn.

I do - but a lotta those places don't exist any more. In my world, I mean.

My own world, Antara, is somewhat different to Earth, a world of many species and where magic is not only possible but quite prevalent.

I am however familiar with the terms you mentioned, I have previously spoken at length with individuals from many versions of Earth.
