[The last thing he remembers is laying on the ground. The bomb had hit just above them, evaporating into the air, seeming almost comically harmless without any explosions or shrapnel accompanying it's fall. How sickening when he realized that it wasn't meant to have shrapnel or explosions - it was a gas bomb, and it's deadly cargo was not so obvious.
They were so close to safety, but when the paralytic gas froze his legs and tripped him, the natives did not turn back to help him.
His breathing is shallow and hard, cutting his words short.]
When...did the bombs stop? What happened?
[Waking up in the Hold, on a different day than he remembers, still feeling aches all over...
Had he really died?
Had they really abandoned him?]
Why did they leave me?

There....there was a bomb. It had gas inside of it, and...I couldn't move. [The experience is both disturbingly close to and eerily disconnected from him. Surely it hadn't really happened. Maybe he hallucinated it. But that trapped feeling is so real for it to be a dream.] The group I was with...
