I was gone for a week, like the Initiative said I would be, but I get back and it's been more like- [Hums a little, as if he's calculating it] -six weeks give or take, according to the network date here. It looks like everything caught on fire while I was gone, too. Go figure.

Not only that, but there's a flood of newbies, too, as well as people I missed from the last one. Anyone willing to give me an update? Or link me to where another thread that explains it would be fine, too.

Anyway, I'm Blaine. Good to meet the new people, and for the old crowd, I'm back.

He was captured and they read his mind, if I remember correctly. I don't remember his name, if they even gave it to us. It was Transports working with the Initiative who interrogated the spy.

.. I see. If this sort of thing has happened before, I can't believe that it would happen again. [ SEriously what is the Initiative doing with their security!? ]

It shows they don't have the capability to run their own security properly. Or they're just that outmanned. From what you said, it sounds like the latter. The UE has more people, possibly smarter people, and more tech.

If they're at so much of an advantage over us ...- something must be keeping them from attacking here. I don't know what their reasoning is, or what they might be planning, but I don't like it. They're too ... sly.

I haven't figured that out either. They may not want to blow this place sky high until they get the technology we have that can send us through time to specific places.

I thought they already had that kind of technology. But...maybe it's even less reliable than what they have here. [ Sigh. ] Ah, I guess it's too much to wish that we were able to get someone from the United Earth and interrogate them for information for a change.

It seems like it. They go to different world's for their resources but I don't know if they can control which world they go to.

We should be able to, in all honesty. At least have one or two people infiltrate for information, if we haven't already. We have a long to strong minded people who don't like to sit back and wait.

Oh - there is that, it's true. [ A faint chuckle. ]

Tell me about it. Natsu's like that too - he hates sitting and waiting. [ Lucy and Juvia were a little more patient at least, and they were all looking out for each other - though she's worried sometimes he might do something rash if anything happened to one of them. ]

[His voice is a bit amused now.] Yes, Natsu definitely qualifies as strong minded, but he's impatient. I wouldn't want to send him where stealth and fitting in are the priority. You would do a better job at that.

No, you're right. Besides a mission like that would be pretty boring for him. I don't mind subtlety - I think I'm better suited for that than something really destrictive, like the others.

Not as destructive? Oh, so they destroy a lot of things, just like I thought. [He's grinning.]

Yeah -- not really intentionally though! It just .. things sort of happen that way.

[ Well that may be a fib - Erza and Natsu do tend to not care about property damage on missions and Lucy tries to avoid breaking things. ]

I'm not sure. I have a feeling you two would probably get along.
