[The woman speaking carries an Australian accent and she sounds triumphant albiet a little tired.]

Technology like this really is useful, huh? [A pause and then a deep sigh.] I can't believe it. When I first got here all these people told me nothing happened here! It isn't nice to lie like that!

[She does see the irony in saying that, yes.

She sighs again.] I hope everyone is all right. I still don't understand all of this but I'm glad I was able to be useful and help heal people. If anyone still needs anything like that just let me know.

I don't really know what to expect from this place anymore but it sure does make me nervous.

Oh, maybe... It might be because I'm still not really sure what it all means. [Aside from it being Very Bad. Understanding everything here was still proving to be a bit of a challenge for her.]

A while ago...the Initiative said that United Earth, those guys that um, did that to the world we were in, they said that they could steal stuff from our worlds. Not everyone believed them, but now that this has happened...

It's terrible. It means it could happen to anyone's world.

What?! [That... sounds horrifying! What if... they stole something from her world? Like a fal'Cie or...]

But... I don't understand. Why would they do that? That could mess up everything! [Clearly, given what happened.]

It's because of this world. [There's something buzzing underneath her voice, a muted sort of anger.] This place, it's ruined, so they take stuff from other places.

So... instead of trying to fix what's still here they just take other things? [Wow that's awful...]

But then... they're just doing the same thing! They're condemning other worlds to the same fate! That's not right!

I don't think they care about that. That world that was...the one that was destroyed, they didn't need to do that, but they did it anyway. I think they just wanted to prove that they were stronger, that's all.

It's cruel! No one deserved to suffer like that, especially not innocent people.

I think you might be right. Maybe they want to intimidate us and make us too scared to fight back. [Admittedly, they were doing a good job. Shit seemed impossible...]

Maybe someone should find the tools they use to do this with and destroy it. Give it a good beating!

That's a good idea, but...I think the Initiative people are afraid to make a mission that dangerous. It's tougher than it sounds.

It's a war, yanno? Don't think anyone really knows what to expect.

We'll just have to be better prepared next time.

I guess you're right... Now that we know this stuff can happen we can prepare for it. It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot we can do though.

We'll figure something out! If we don't have hope, then there's definitely nothing we can do to help. I'm sure we'll be ready the next time.

My weapon? Oh... well, actually... it's my weapon from home so I'm not sure it really does anything special. It mostly helps me focus my magic.

My weapon is the same too. They said it was sentient though so... Maybe they do something extra now?

No, nothing like that. Honestly, I'm not really sure what's different about mine yet. The only difference I can see is that I have a limit on knives now.

[Which seems kind of counter-productive to being a useful weapon...]

It's a weapon from home, actually. It's called a Binding Rod. I guess... it's something like a super strong fishing rod! I can catch all kinds of things with it.
