( For once, Remy might actually be in his apartment. He's sitting on his bed, not in coat or costume but a simple cotton shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He's got a roll of cloth bandages, and is wrapping his hands methodologically. )

Y'all really know how ta discuss, you know that? I'm very impressed.

( He's not, actually. He thinks the talking around such matters is a waste of time, and also a way to show the Initiative their hand. But he doesn't say so. )

But I have ta say, all this bleak talk ain't really for me. Can't keep at it for very long. Désolé.

So, for those of you who care ta lighten the mood, here's a game. First player--that'd be me, I like ta deal--gives you a word. You say the first thing that comes ta your mind, after that. An' y'keep goin', over an' over, until someone cracks an' has ta ask the reasonin' behind your answer.

Whether y'tell 'em is up ta you.

( He laughs, to himself. )

It's an option, anyways. If you don't wantta keep talkin' 'bout how unhappy y'all are.

( ooc / idk if this'll come up but if you want to threadjack and play with each other, i'm totally cool with that. )

No, I don't blame people for it. It can be a lot to take in, at times, especially if you've never grown up with a sort of buffer that'd prepare you for some of it.

Mystery's all good and fun if you don't get in over your head. Too much.

I do like an honest bit of danger. It keeps you on your toes, among other things. Though, it is nice to just be able to relax every now and again. Maybe visit a vacation planet. Those are spectacular, even if they can be Exciting, themselves.

It sounds like it might be. Though, old enemies kept dropping in uninvited while we were there, among other things. So, it wasn't exactly a typical sort of getaway, even if it wasn't entirely surprising, either. I wouldn't wish that part on anyone else.

Still, the skiing was great, the water was warm, and the shopping was fantastic. So, I'll take it.

I'd agree with that under regular circumstances, but we were all better for it too in the end, actually. Attacks and all.

So, I'm guessing you've had a Nice life, never being able to relax at home and all?

I think everyone goes through life doing things like that, to some degree or another. What'd you do?

[Part of that sets off some Good Girl Alert™ bells, but she has to admit, she's intrigued.]

For some reason, it never occurred to me that anyone would grow up doing that. How does that even happen?

[She ponders that a moment. The Trix and the Ancestresses were in the business of conquest and misery. Thieving doesn't seem too far off.]

After school activities must have been interesting. Unless you went to school for that kind of thing, too.

[Because that makes as much sense as anything else? Sure why not?]

[Flora can't speak for other people, just herself. The idea that he hasn't learned much of anything doesn't occur to her--he already said he teaches (which is actually a big point of interest)--but the fact that he didn't go to school much, if ever, is still something to think about, but perhaps not for reasons someone might assume.]

Did you just learn at home, then? Did that get lonely at all>
