Uwah, that sure was a scary mission compared to the last few, wasn't it?! I hope everyone made it out fine... aaaaaah, it truly was a frightening experience... I wonder what the Initiative'll have us do now...

But it's best to break down big problems into smaller ones, right? That said, that said, I have a small problem that needs solving. In the midst of all these wizards and aliens and warriors, there must be a decent tailor around here! I'm humbly asking for your help, wherever and whoever you might be (˘ʃƪ˘) My friend and I have some clothes in bad shape that need fixing.

[When he arrived, Ico had a small collection of clothes ranging in different styles. All of them were too big to fit him properly. He thought that because they were bigger that it would be easier to pull over his horns, but he was wrong.]

[And Kano's there to meet him, looking cheerful as ever, though his eyes can't completely hide the tiredness laced into his voice. That's a lot of clothes there.]

Wow, you have quite an impressive collection there! I didn't take you the type to be so fashion-conscious, ku ku.

[He offers to help hold some and to look them over.]

Not to worry~ I'm sure we'll be able to find a use for these.

[At first, he did not understand how Kano could be so happy. After looking at his eyes, Ico knew. He smiled weakly at Kano but it was obvious that he was also feeling unwell.]

I'm glad. These don't fit me that well.

[He gave some of the clothes to Kano. Most were in good condition. Two of them had a small tear or a hole in it.]

[That weak smile makes him wonder if Ico had been caught in the chaos that had been the mission. Surely the Initiative wouldn't let someone as young as him fight...

He smiles, this one a tad more sincere than the ones he uses to mask himself.]

It must be hard to find a good shirt with those horns of yours, huh?

[He looked down at the bundle of clothes in his arms.]

Kano, will you be okay?

[... ah, so Ico noticed. Kano makes his smile bigger in an attempt to reassure him. The kid didn't need to know what had happened.]

Eh, were you thinking that I wasn't? I'm perfectly fine, don't worry, don't worry! Speaking of clothes, we have a member who's good with a needle... maybe she could help you with that problem.

[Obviously Kano was hiding his emotions. Ico understood and he did not try to pry about it. He looked unconvinced but he let it go.]

You mean like patches? Kanji helped me before.

[He lifted his Mark to show Kano his worn and tattered red tunic. The shoulders and neck were the most damaged and covered in mismatched patches.]

[Good, good, they're moving on.

... that tunic looked like a tailoring disaster had hit it. He gives a little laugh.]

Ku ku... that looks like it'd need more than patches! Ah, it's amazing that it hasn't fallen apart yet. Wouldn't getting a new one be better?

[He flattened his Mark over his chest. It covered the patches and most of the damage.]

I like this one. It's the last thing I wore before I left home.

Not to worry! We can get it fixed up as good as new. It'd be like it was the first day you got it.

Kanaya Maryam. Have you heard of her? She's one of the trolls. But she's really skilled with needlework, it seems!

I've never met her before. I'll ask her later. What does she look like?

She has horns--a little more colorful than yours--and she glows. You definitely can't miss her, not when she's as bright as the sun~!

[All the trolls he had seen had horns so that would not help; but glowing was unusual.]

Glows? Why does she glow?

Why? [Shit he actually doesn't know.] The answer's really simple, of course. You know what fireflies are, don't you?

She's like a firefly? [He sounded doubtful.] None of the other trolls I've seen glowed.

[He pats Ico on the head. Trust him here!]

Well, this will be your first time seeing a glowing troll then, won't it?

[Not the first time he saw a glowing person, however. He picked out the clothes that had slight damage to it.]

Here. [He gave Kano the rest of the clothes.] These are good, they don't need mending.

[Kano accepts them, shifting his grip so he has a sturdier hold on the clothes.]
