Well hello there everyone. Welcome to the newer faces, how are you doing to both the new and old. In case you don't recognize this face or the hat, I'm Phoenix Wright, and I've got an announcement for you guys.

As of a few days ago, it seems like we've got a missing child on our hands. His name is Miles and he's about - oh - five feet eleven inches? I don't know how much he weighs, he's got grey hair and he was last seen wearing a red suit and a really intense cravat. He's... 24 years old, I think.

He hasn't been in his room and hasn't been coming in to work, either. His family is very worried about him. So.

[There is a few seconds' pause here, where Phoenix's rather playful expression sobers up. He keeps the smile, but he's definitely more serious now. A little sad, even.]

That is to say, it doesn't seem like Miles Edgeworth is here anymore. Haven't been able to reach his tablet or anything. I don't know if he'll come back like he did last time, but like last time, if you had any business with him I recommend contacting Miss Franziska von Karma. She might be able to help you out some.

[Another little silence. He's looking away from the camera. He mumbles some words like "They're all going somewhere." "How many is this now?" "I guess it's better they're not here, but." "It's starting to get kind of lonely." "I hope he's okay."

Then he turns back to the screen again, the first wide smile back on his face.]

Now, in case you don't know what he looks like! I drew a picture. I'm pretty confident in the likeness, if I do say so myself. I think the dog's still around...

They're both really cute if you ask me. Haha. But yeah, it is a shame. I like dogs but especially when they're friendly.

[He smiles a little bit more gently at the concerned look.]

You're right. He's not a man suited for war so I'm glad to think he's gone back. I'll miss him though, more than he would've missed me.

Haha, I dunno, man, are you sure you're not underdressed for a guy like that? He seemed like he was pretty picky about that kind of stuff.

[But he just lifts his shoulders and smiles back]

Yeah well. You can never tell about guys like that. But at least he doesn't have to miss you, right? You're still there.

That makes me feel insulted, you know.

But I guess you might be right. I can't tell you for sure if he would've missed me though.

[ringbeast]

Hey, you look like a guy who's cool with bein' underdressed, man. Whatever makes you comfortable.

So, what's your deal with this guy? He your friend or your rival or something?

I guess you could call him a friend, but you could also call him an old rival!

We've known each other since we were kids. He's usually my age but he's been younger here and likes me less, if that explains it at all.

[ringbeast]

[He perks up.]

Nah! I totally get that. My rival was here when I showed up, but he came here before he even met me, so he had no idea who I was!

It'd be weird if we knew each other for a real long time... But hey, at least you know you got your regular friend right there when you go back home, right?

Yeah. When I get back I'm going to get him to buy me dinner so I can get release the stress from all this. I think he'd call me crazy if I told him about this though.

I think you probably'd call yourself crazy if you tried to explain this to yourself.

You know! There was a time when we all got turned older or younger because of a screwup by the Initiative, and I remember my younger self found himself here and he was just so done with this place. I'm surprised he didn't look for a hospital.

[ringbeast]

Woah, that sounds crazy. Glad I wasn't around for that. At least they seem to be pretty prepared for people freakin' out here.

[aceordisgraced]

I hope they're prepared since they're the ones causing it most of the time, honestly.

[ringbeast]

Well, I guess it's kind of all the time, since they're the ones who brought us here. Haha!

A fair point. I guess we won't be dealing with any of this at all if they didn't bring us here in the first place.

Are you mad about it? Cos I think my rival is.

[aceordisgraced]

Mmmm, I'm not their biggest fan for it but being mad about it won't make anything better, right? Might as well try to make some friends while I'm here and help where I can, I think.

[ringbeast]

[A slow smile spreads over his face.]

That's what I like to hear! Thanks, man, people have been pretty bitter lately so it's nice to see someone who can look on the bright side.
