[...Not really, but he can tell she's complimenting him. Which is not something Elliot's used to coming from people who actually mean it. He's just been used to the crap everyone else has been giving him. So yeah, give him a moment to process this.]

At least someone sees this situation for what it really is... You'd think the ones insisting on it could at least offer!

That's totally rude of them! I know when I tell someone to learn something, I'm going to help them if I can. I mean, same for you! I'm pretty good at cleaning up after myself. I need to be!

[He takes a second to calm down slightly so he's not yelling his next response.]

A few people have been making offers, yes.

Good! Gonna take them up on those?

( She grins, amused at his fairly... exuberant nature so far. )

I don't have much choice in the matter as it stands, do I? That's why I asked on this thing in the first place!

Yeah, yeah, i meant are you going to take up anyone here? Like they seem okay to you, and helpful.

I thought I just made it clear that I was going to! I'm...familiar with one of them already, and the fact that anyone else offered to help in the first place is a good sign, right?!

Yep! It's a really good sign. It means you've got a lot of good people around, willing to help you out! Which is one of the best things you can have in the world.

So long as you don't rely on them so much that you become a burden to them, I agree.

Yeah! Exactly. You figure out the balance sooner or later. But remember friends like it when you feel like you can depend on them! Some leaning is important, every so often.

So long as you still rely on yourself, then no, there's no harm in getting aid from others.

Exactly! Rely on yourself, and be there for your friends, like you want them to be there for you, too. It's a good plan!

Isn't it better to use some of yours, and not make someone else do the same? It evens out. Besides, I bet you'll be so good at it after learning, you'll get things done super-fast to make up for the time spent learning!
