Hello, Exsilium.

I realize the timing is probably inconvenient considering the network's recent posts. New Transports, I mean. But this won't take very long at all. There are a few things I would like to address, so please read the following carefully:

Anything and everything previously mentioned about Contrast Mechanics does not apply. Well. We are looking for employees, but there's a process someone didn't consider before bringing it up. Anyone is welcome to apply - prior experience isn't necessarily required for certain positions. Currently, we're limited in the number of applicants we are able to hire. However, as Contrast Mechanics grows, so too will our staff.

All applications are processed by me. Interviews as well. You will be contacted personally when final decisions have been reached. If, at any time, you've been previously promised employment by the...owner or have discussed arrangements, please let me know. I have names, but-- It might not be entirely accurate. I'll be sure to take care of everything.

By the way, my name is Pepper. If there are any questions, I'll do my best to answer them, and I look forward to meeting with each of you.

[hmmm. the places Lisbeth frequented wouldn't be the best place to meet a pretty important person.]

Not really. We could just meet somewhere in the courtyard.

[ Pepper gives her a smile. This is just so Lisbeth can recognize her. ]

All right. I can meet you in about 15 minutes or so?

[her face, on the other hand, is gonna be a surprise when you see her, pepper.]

[ Pepper sends See you soon then. as a follow-up, and she is, of course, early to their designated meeting spot. She tries to find somewhere that's open but also private enough for them to get acquainted. Perhaps discuss available options.

As promised, it's informal, though her attire isn't entirely casual. Years of habit, really, and she has the tablet clasped in front of her as she waits. ]

[Lisbeth is always casual so she doesn't do much changing before she leaves the apartment. She moves quickly through the housing complex before finding her way to the courtyard. She keeps her head slightly down as she usually does, but her eyes are moving around. Even though she's been here for two months already, she was still suspicious of the people around her.

They might've been brought her for a purpose, but who knew if the Initiative did background checks?

And that's when Lisbeth spots her - radiant red hair that reminded Lisbeth of her own hiding underneath the black dye. She watches her quietly for a few minutes before finally walking up to her.]

[ Pepper doesn't check her tablet, but she does occasionally glance at the watch she's wears in an effort to keep track of the time. She's far from impatient, so it's more a concern that Lisbeth won't be able to find her rather than her not showing up at all. The other woman's approach, however, relieves that worry, and she offers her hand in introduction before taking a moment to actually look at the person she's been occasionally speaking with.

If anything, Pepper's face gives nothing away as to what she thinks. Professionalism all the way: a handshake and a smile if Lisbeth takes them. ]

[Sorry, Pepper, but she doesn't do either. She glances down at Pepper's outstretched hand. There were just some habits about her no one could change. Lisbeth looks up at Pepper before nodding.]

Miss Potts.

[ That's okay, actually. No need to make a scene about it, so she withdraws her hand and takes up the tablet instead. ]

Please, Pepper is fine. I hope this isn't too inconvenient. [ The fact the complex is destroyed, that she has to read everything she says. ] And it's nice to finally meet you.

[Lisbeth's eyes are drawn to the tablet. This isn't strange to her. It's been awhile since she and Nill communicated via her NV, but it really wasn't an inconvenience. Lisbeth, however, was blunt.]

Are you a mute?

[ She doesn't mind the bluntness. In actuality, she prefers it. So, there's a shake of her head at first, slow as if she's unsure how to really approach the question. ]

No, I [ Delete. ] I still haven't figured out what my weapon is supposed to do exactly. It's part of that - talking.

Oh.

[What do you say to that? But if Pepper's weapon had something to do with her voice, then Lisbeth feels cheated that Exsilium didn't let her keep her fire-breathing from Siren's. Then again, she was pulled straight from home again.]

That's unfortunate.
