These past few weeks have been a little crazy. What sucks though is that Dad is gone. This place officially sucks. I mean, it sucked before, but it really sucks now. Also, I can't seem to find Mr. Barnaby, and I haven't seen anything from him on the network? I have to check his apartment, but...I think he's gone, too...

Yeah, this place sucks times a thousand. Maybe more.

Anyway, I went on my first mission! Not of my own choosing, of course, but it was fun, and I came back with some items, too! This music player is great since the Initiative hooked it up to the network, too, so I have the tablet and this. (Okay, so maybe they suck times 999 instead.)

Also, I mentioned it before, but Kido has a gang, and I'm a member of it now! I found a hoodie for my "official uniform" and it's really comfortable. I love it. Plus Kano & she are awesome in general. I'm glad I met them and have someone I can go to for advice, although I've spoken to many awesome older people, too.

All right, my shake appeared, and it would be a shame to let it get warm from me putting down my thoughts on paper.

That's true, but he's still sponsored, so clearly he's liked enough that the points don't matter too much, especially with Mr. Barnaby getting most of the points.

Yes, I've been assisted by him and by Mr. Barnaby — different occasions, though.

Probably because they are a team. First team Heroes does bring in the bucks to Apollon. What's good for the company is good for the sponsors.

I guess a mix of both. I only ever seem to be in some trouble when I visit Sternbild.

That's should tell you something about how dangerous the city can be. Heroes need to do a better job it seems if you're in danger every time you visit.

I don't think you could have a city completely free of crime. There is always someone stirring up trouble.

True, only seven Heroes and they can't be everywhere. Trouble lurks in dark places sometimes. Other times, it loves the spotlight.

And the ones who love the spotlight are the most troublesome. [ Like Jake himself, Mr. Maverick, and that other old guy who made the robot Heroes and partnered with Mr. Maverick. ]

It's good for HeroTV to have someone to show off. The show would be boring.

Not if they're going to go and endanger others trying to be all grand and villainous.

Yeah but all the lesser criminals and NEXT are pathetic. They provide minor entertainment. People need to feel like they are being defended from despair to live fulfilled lives.
