Anyone who feels regret over ending an enemy's life is a fool. The point of a battle is to dispatch the soldiers working for the other side.

Murder is a term used to refer to killing someone who bears you no ill will and generally results in others considering you a threat to their safety. While you have a point in that it's ending another's life either way, one is far more likely to leave you labelled volatile and dangerous than the other.
