10 - [Video]

[So Sollux thought it'd be a good idea to see what Earth movies are like. And with Crank as his only basis thus far, he's 1. not impressed, and 2. confused on a few things.]

Hey.

That movie that was shown last night, used a lot of words I don't know. Human vernacular ith really stupid and weird. Tho everyone should tell me all the thwear words they know and what they mean. There were like twenty onesth I didn't know in that movie, and I thtill don't get what they meant. Thith ith for educational purposes, of course.

No, it's okay. It's probably for the best to steer away from paragraphs.

As for humans, I'd say most are like that in general, but in reality, it's much more complicated. We definitely have our evils, and our goods, though they'll mask as one another from time to time.

I wouldn't presume even to guess how you'd define yourself, at this point. I'd only have your word to go on, anyway.

Though, I am curious. Do you think your race would so easily summarize as chaotic evil, if not cultivated in a culture that encouraged it?

It's likely the same in reverse then. I'm sure humans would adapt pretty well, if they were raised from the start for bloodshed.

No, I don't think it would be. That is to say, at least as far as the inequality of law and the encouragement of violence goes. Human cultures have their flaws, as well as their good points; I can't say for certain, but I would think there must be some qualities from that worth preserving.

is anyone even reading these subject lines anymore that's not us

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, let me rephrase. What about any of that made you think about human determination? Or mine in particular, if you were being specific.
heartsink: (quatorze)

in that case: i saw your reserve at cnc and :O !! best of luck!

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright. For a moment you had me worried, that your expectations were elevating of their own accord.

If the human trait of worth is determination, what might you say is the one of trolls?
heartsink: (un)

the creepingest! and yup, that's where this one is crau'd from

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Seems like traits like that would work pretty well together. If the unspoken negatives don't get in the way, that is.
heartsink: (cinq)

alas!! cycling back and forth like that would be amazing

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
If only for those two things, I'm surprised there aren't more of you here.

"it's true you made me explain quadrants and everything" "ok now i know you're just fucking with me"

I suppose I'll have to, for now.

"but it's all true" "did karkat put you up to this i swear to god"

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That explains your distaste, then.

and you'll get to play "spot the discrepancies branching timelines and lots of lying create"

[personal profile] heartsink 2013-06-02 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
