[The network contains no shortage of complaints about problems in this place. Who the Initiative chooses to pull in, uncertainties and angry demands for purpose, even complaints about the weather. But there's one problem that has, as a whole, received very little attention.

Until now.

When the feed turns on, it's clear that the video function has been activated, but the camera isn't aimed at anything particularly interesting (just a wall). All that's really noteworthy is a constant sound in the background, something between a growl and a low-pitched meow. Clearly identifiable as being of feline origin.

Yes, from the sound of it, someone is now a victim of Exsilium's stray cat problem. Or, at the very least, of one particularly persistent stray cat.

This persists for a few long moments until a female voice, carrying a distinct hint of exasperation, adds to the soundtrack.]

Does this [A yowl of protest later, a cat, a skinny, orange, mangy little thing, comes into focus] belong to anyone?

[Going once.... going twice....

No, seriously, someone claim this cat or she's probably going to cook it B'|]

[She is so accustomed to that particular sort of brusqueness that she isn't cowed.] I take it you aren't a fan of cats...

[She frowns, more to herself.] It may leave you alone on its own, but it is probably just hungry. I would take it for you...but a stray in this environment may need medical attention.

[Another mouth to feed. That was her main qualm the first time around. Even if this isn't District 12, even if her current situation is different, she's still averse to the idea.]

I can't do anything for it. ['Won't' is definitely implied in there, but hey.]

[She smiles a little, but it's hard to tell at what, exactly.] I think you've done what you can already, right?

[It doesn't sound like she's being insincere. She adds:] I can feed it, and ask around for veterinary care.

[No, she's not familiar at all with what "veterinary" may refer to, but "care," combined with "medical attention," gives her enough context to get the gist. "Care" is what her sister would want for this vile little creature; she can practically feel a set of wide blue eyes boring a hole into her from a whole other time and place away.

So the nod of acquiescence doesn't come with much hesitation.]
