[ringbeast]

[The feed flickers on with a wobbly view of a single eye and a thick eyebrow. It wobbles.]

Oh! Ohh!! It's on! I think!!

[The image pulls out to focus more generally on Nitoh's face. He holds his device out at arm's length as he walks up a back staircase in some nondescript building]

Hey! I'm Nitoh, Kousuke Nitoh. I'm looking for my RIVAL, Haruto Sohma, Kamen Rider Wizard. And also PHANTOMS. I'm sure he's hiding some somewhere around here. They told me there are no Phantoms here, but that's gotta be a trick or something. BECAUSE! There's no way I could be here AND he could be here without there being any PHANTOMS here!!!

[He treks up and pushes open the door up to the roof, and for a moment the video feed whites out, until it adjusts to the light and it shows him silhouetted and the scattered rooftops below him. It bounces up and down as he paces.]

Okay, stop don't say it, I know what you want to know. How do I know my rival's even here? WELL! I asked about him and they said he'd been here for a while! So Haruto! Don't try to hide from me! I'm sending my little gryphon out to find you!

[He sets the camera down, still pointing at him, as he activates his driver belt and a little self-assembling model appears in mid-air in front of him: a green somewhat robotic-looking gryphon. He pulls off the ring he is wearing and sets it inside, then looks at the camera significantly.]

SEE! I'll find you if I have to search every donut shop in the city!!

[Gryphon flies off and he waves his forefingers at it as it leaves, smiling fondly. Then he looks back.]

And then you can show me where you're keeping all the Phantoms in this city! You gotta share, you KNOW why!

[At the last, he focuses strongly on the camera, pointing accusingly at it. Then he waves, back to a winning grin.]

[The feed switches off]

Oh, oh! It's really cool, there's this die in the middle of the hilt part of the knife and I can spin it and then I set the ring and it stops and however many the die says will tell me how many monsters get sent out when I set off a saber strike. Like charging bulls if I'm wearing my buffa cape and all.

I didn't invent it, I just found it in an excavation, but it's pretty cool unless I roll a 1, and then it's pretty lame.

Yeah, it kind of is ha ha ha!

But nah. It doesn't work that way, or I woulda totally tried. It's got its own little internal logic, so even if I write fifty on the one it's still gonna spit out one little bird or whatever.

I got other stuff than a Saber Strike, though! Don't count me out on that!

Aw c'mon man! I just got this sweet gun and this new form and it'll totally blow your mind. There's this big lion on the chest with its mouth open all CHOMP, it's super great.

Then it'll SUPER blow your mind, right? See, you're impressed. You're all like well I thought this saber was lame but this gun sounds pretty awesome. It's okay to think I'm great. I'm pretty sure Haruto secretly does too.

When I don't even know what it does.

Oh, okay so my gun's different from usual guns but it's kind of the same in that you pull a trigger and something flies out and hits the other guy. Except for in my case instead of a bullet it's a giant magic lion and it all eats the enemy like CHOMP!

Guns go BANG and kill bad guys it's pretty sweet. Wait, Haruto's got one, haven't you seen it? His can be a sword too. He fakes me out shooting at me all the time.

Ah, that's a shame it's kind of cool. He gets all cocky when I tell him that though.

I dunno if there's a lot of fighting for him to do here, anyway, what with no Phantoms around, I bet he's kind of bored.

Anyway I'd show you my gun if it didn't use so much mana. Gotta conserve, you know.
