Just recently, there has been a new addition with the holographic training room that I think you can utilize for your private training needs. It could be something worth looking through to fit your interests.

And this place is completely private? One won't be disturbed or observed while using it?

I have. As far as I know, no one watches you. I didn't see any windows or observation cameras.

Can you tell me more about how the holographic chamber works, as far as training is concerned?

Can the door be locked? How much room is there inside?

If there are cameras, they could be hidden. The Initiative might have installed some.

I don't know for sure if there are any. The Initiative said nothing to me about it and they are not obligated to disclose that information. The doors can be locked. The space inside depends on what you are operating for the program. The way it works is through a series of projectors. As far as I know, anyone can use it and make their own environments to run. You just simply tell the computer what you want and it will do the rest.

Frankly, it is troublesome that information is being withheld even with the best of intentions. I believe it is the perceived space that is manipulated to give the illusion of depth and space. I must admit, I hadn't had the chance to take a closer look myself to see how it was done so seamlessly. As far as I know, it is open to anyone for any duration of time.

It's the best that they had given us so far in our training efforts at the very least. Since they brought us here, it is doubtful that we will not be used at some point in time, as ironic as it sounds. If you find the cameras, block them.

I'm not surprised they're expending extra effort to train us, since fighting for them is our primary purpose. It's a shame the ordinary people here live in the conditions they do, yet the Initiative's technology is so advanced.

Is that practical? I've never been to the outlands before. Do they have any particular dangers? Is it easy to come and go unobserved?

as long as you're mindful of some of the wildlife you should be good. it's just desolate. if you follow the main road though it'll lead right out and you'll find your privacy easily.

That seems simple enough. What wildlife might pose a threat? So I know what to look out for.

As I said, my reasons are personal. One might even say emotional. They involve my past, and I'd prefer not to discuss it. Where I'm from, my means of defending myself isn't looked on kindly, and I have always had to hide it. I prefer to practice in private. It's not mere shyness. It goes beyond that.

Have you been there, yourself? Are there any dangers there that you know of? It seems that people do explore them, and I'd prefer to keep the risk of an accidental encounter very low.

Haven't had time to go poking around too much myself. Set up a perimeter alarm if you don't have a way of sensing people coming - motion detection or heat-sensing are pretty simple.

That is a good idea, but the alarm would need a wide range. I require a great deal of space, ideally. Can such a thing be obtained here without drawing attention to oneself?

If you can't build it from parts yourself? No idea. How many sensors you'd need would depend on the terrain and their respective range.

I have some skill with computers, but building an entire alarm system from scratch is likely beyond my capabilities, I admit. I'm sure I could learn, with the proper resources, but it would take some time, and I doubt the proper resources are available.

If you're not a scavenger by nature, probably not. Better off finding someone willing to do an anonymous trade.

I'm not sure what I can scavange easily yet, honestly. Gold or silver, if you happen to have any or run across some. Don't need much, just looking to replace something of personal significance, and I'm pretty sure if the Iniative has any, they're probably not selling. Luxury goods and all that.

It's not just the Initiative, but the other Transports as well. Even the citizenry. As I said, I have personal reasons for not wishing to be observed. It involves my past. I would rather not discuss it, but I prefer to practice in private.

Let's see. Well, the urban areas of the outlands are supposedly empty. The water is polluted, I dont know if the buildings are stable, and I do know that there are really mutated animals there, if you run into any of them.

I'll avoid the water and be careful of buildings. I'm not particularly worried about the animals. [There are few threats his power can't deal with, as long as he's careful.] Are they known to attack? Is there any danger from United Earth?

I think people go there sometimes, and I've heard people talking about exploring it, but I don't think it's somewhere people go all the time, except you probably aren't the only one who wants to do training outside the facilities. I don't think the Initiative takes any action against people going there.

Also, I don't know a whole lot about the animals' behavior, but I've noticed that the UE doesn't attack often. I've been here since September, and in six months, I think I only know about two incidents. You should be fine, but take that with a grain of salt still.
