I would like to engage in training, but for personal reasons, I would prefer to do so alone and unobserved.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how that might be accomplished?
Please respond privately. Thank you.

Have you used it yourself?

Can the door be locked? How much room is there inside?
If there are cameras, they could be hidden. The Initiative might have installed some.
no subject
The doors can be locked. The space inside depends on what you are operating for the program.
The way it works is through a series of projectors. As far as I know, anyone can use it and make their own environments to run. You just simply tell the computer what you want and it will do the rest.
no subject
Interesting. The actual space varies? Or just the perceived space? I'm familiar with similar simulators. If the doors can be locked, I might consider using the facility.
As long as I can be sure that no one else will interrupt. Does one reserve time there? Is there a time limit on sessions?
no subject
I believe it is the perceived space that is manipulated to give the illusion of depth and space. I must admit, I hadn't had the chance to take a closer look myself to see how it was done so seamlessly.
As far as I know, it is open to anyone for any duration of time.
no subject
I thought so. That's very similar to the way the simulators in my world work. The scenarios are indistinguishable from reality.
I'll consider making use of it, though I don't know if it's truly private enough.
[Maybe he can try using it without making use of his flames.]

Since they brought us here, it is doubtful that we will not be used at some point in time, as ironic as it sounds. If you find the cameras, block them.
no subject
We're already being used.
If I do find cameras, I'll deal with the situation. [Either by blocking them or simply not using the facility.]

Have you been to the outlands yourself? Are they frequented by Transports?
no subject
actually, i'm not sure i feel very comfortable helping you out when your motives are so hidden. any way you can shed any light on that?
[anon, private]
If you prefer not to help me, I'll understand, but I don't intend to harm any of the innocent people of Exsilium, Transports or otherwise.
no subject
alright. i'm sorry. i've been out there once and i didn't go very far, so all i know is from word of mouth. i also know that the water out there is bad.
[Two lies and a truth.]
no subject
There's no need to apologize. You have no reason to trust me, I know. After all, I could be anyone. But I doubt there's any harm I could do out there.
Thank you for the information. I'll avoid the water. Is there anything else I should know, that you've heard through word of mouth?

she's so bad at that]
the birds can get a little vicious too.
also bears.
that's all!

[There aren't many threats his power can't deal with in some fashion, although the scar on his shoulder reminds him not to be overconfident. As long as there aren't any dangerous robots.]
If that's all the information you have, then I thank you for your help.
[private, also anon]
I suspect all the established facilities have some form of monitoring.
[private, anon]
Have you been there, yourself? Are there any dangers there that you know of? It seems that people do explore them, and I'd prefer to keep the risk of an accidental encounter very low.

That is a good idea, but the alarm would need a wide range. I require a great deal of space, ideally. Can such a thing be obtained here without drawing attention to oneself?

I don't suppose you'd be able or willing to make such a trade?
I have little here aside from my weapon and the currency we're given.

If you wish to draw my attention on this network, you can use the name Vera.
What would you want in return?
[If he'll need time to obtain something, he might as well know what it is now.]

I'll see what I can do. I might be able to find something of the sort.

But again, it's dangerous, so I don't really encourage it. It's just a suggestion.

[He's not being wholly dishonest, and nothing he types is actually untrue. He just doesn't want to be associated with blue-green flames.]
I appreciate the suggestion. What dangers are there outside the city?
text; private
Let's see. Well, the urban areas of the outlands are supposedly empty. The water is polluted, I dont know if the buildings are stable, and I do know that there are really mutated animals there, if you run into any of them.
text; private
Do other Transports frequent the outlands, or are they generally avoided? Does the Initiative actively discourage people from going there, or is it simply considered dangerous?
I'll avoid the water and be careful of buildings. I'm not particularly worried about the animals. [There are few threats his power can't deal with, as long as he's careful.] Are they known to attack? Is there any danger from United Earth?
text; private
Also, I don't know a whole lot about the animals' behavior, but I've noticed that the UE doesn't attack often. I've been here since September, and in six months, I think I only know about two incidents. You should be fine, but take that with a grain of salt still.
text; private
I'm much more worried about an organized threat than animals, so I'm glad to hear that.
I'll be careful, regardless.

Best of luck.
