I still don't get what the point of birthdays are. They're just another year gone by. They're just like any other day.

True, it's another day in your life but it still has its own meaning. Whether it's my own or someone else's, it's a celebration of that person's life.

There would always be a party... but it wouldn't be right this time.

Why's that? Is it because you're not at home with your friends?

It's more than that.
