I'll tell you as much as you'd like to know; I shared most of what I found out when I came back.

A friend of mine who's no longer here went with me to one of the United Earth cities a couple of months ago. We spent some days there doing reconnaisance before coming back. We managed to get ahold of a small amount of the drug that the officials there feed to their citizens to keep them compliant.

mostly on how you got across and back again without being spotted.

did you find a boat to use? or was there a different way?

First time I went, my companions had magical means of getting across the water. The shortest path from the island to the mainland is only a few miles. We went under cover of night. Second time, we found a boat. Had to get it fixed up first.

They didn't monitor the waters very carefully. They may monitor them even less carefully now, if they still think we're all dead, but I don't know about that.
