Does anyone here happen to know anything about the sea? I was born far inland. Oceans are unfamiliar to me.

I'm not sure how to prove that. What would you like me to do? If it helps, I have been here nearly three months without killing anyone.

[True facts. Honestly this idea is a rather risky one for her but it's the best she can think up. Besides trying to remember the Litany of Adralla.]

[Give her ten minutes and she'll be entering the library. She came rather prepared, just in case. Her staff is with her and she's got her chainmail on. Better safe than sorry.

She's not sure who or what to expect though so shortly after entering the library she'll stand still, arms folded and eyes wary.]

[ Bariyan's standing right by the entrance. He looks up when Fiona walks in and keeps watching, taking note of all the chainmail. When she stops, he sighs and walks over. All the while trying to look as non-threatening as possible. ]

I am. Bariyan, I take it? [Don't mind her keeping her distance. Honestly, he seems non-possessed like enough.]

So how is someone who was dead alive again exactly?

[ fine by him; he'll just stand over here and hope she doesn't start flinging fireballs inside of a library. what with all the books and all. ]

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. I wish I knew, too.

[She'll shift her weight and look him over a bit more. Then stating slowly,]

So... They brought you back.

[ Bariyan blinks down at Fiona. What? ]

Oh. No, I was already alive... [ whoops, bad choice of words ] I mean, I was already walking before I arrived here. I don't believe the Initiative had anything to do with it.

[Very poor choice of words. She'll raise an eyebrow, now's your chance to explain good ser.]

[ Unfortunately Bariyan waits right back at her for a long while. But he does eventually realize that she's waiting for more of an explanation. He looks away and pinches the bridge of his nose. ]

I honestly don't know how I was brought back. I've spoken to the person who claims to be responsible, but he... was not helpful. And gave me no answers.

[She'll nod.] And is the man responsible here?

I don't think so. [ Frown. ] At least, I certainly hope not.

[Her mouth twists before giving another nod. If it was blood magic, the one responsible would need to be present. Or he was a demon-possessed corpse. Such pleasant topics. But surely not all other worlds worked that way.]

[ Well, she hadn't tried to attack him right off the bat. That was already points in Bariyan's book. ]

Certainly. I'm not sure when we'll leave, I'm still looking for someone who can fix or steer a ship. You wouldn't happen to know anything about either, would you?
