[The displayed name reads 'Billy Cranston', but the face isn't his. Billy's trying to act as Lady Celebrían would, he really is! He sits up straight, his long hair awkwardly twisted into a loose and messy braid. He hopes that doesn't harm her hair. And he's especially grateful that the lady isn't the makeup type---he'd messed that up for one friend already. But his arms are crossed and there's an odd expression of disappointment on his face. Still, he waves, one hand making a graceful arc in the air.]

By my calculations, we've almost reached the estimated time that the personality displacement will be reversed. And...you know, it's funny. This isn't the first time I've been through this.

I asked one of my best friends to help me test a new invention that was supposed to allow thought-sharing once, but a missing wire resulted in this same effect. We were only switched for one day, and of course we wouldn't deliberately sabotage each other, but even then we made so many mistakes and tarnished each other's reputations so severely that we ended up nearly destroying our friendship. That was painful enough! I can't believe how many would do that intentionally.

Anyway, I've been doing my best to recreate my old device as a backup should the Initiative's efforts fail. If anyone has experience with something similar, can you help? I'll be in my garage on the west side.

As long as you don't cut off any of my hair, I'm not sure you'd have an easy time of ruining anything. It has been growing for several thousand years, after all.

I'm glad of that. I've never known an elf with hair that isn't grown out. So this actually feels rather strange.

[Billy laughs awkwardly, swinging his messily tied hair over his shoulder.]

I'll take care of this as best I can, but I might need your help.

I'm on my way with the glasses, all right?

[She laughs as well, not so awkwardly though.]

That won't be so difficult. Learning to neatly braid hair takes some time, you won't really need to. It would probably be easier to leave it loose.

[She nods.]

I'll see you shortly then, thank you.

[Billy arrives a few minutes later, disheveled but otherwise intact. He holds out the glasses as he pauses to catch his breath.]

[And Bri arrives shortly after. Appreciatively, she takes the glasses and slips them on, blinking a couple times to get used to the idea of wearing them.]

Thank you, they do.

[Billy smiles again.]

Now you can see that I haven't done anything to you, right?

[He fidgets awkwardly. Still not used to this.]

I can, thank the Valar. [She laughs softly though. Bri believed him before.]

[He smooths out the dress with a nervous smile.]

[She can't help but giggle again.]

No, none but thank you. I am sorry though, that my clothing is made up of so many dresses. The only time I never wore one was when learning to ride horses and that was an age ago and only because I ruined too many and made my mother cross.

You have my greatest respect. I can't imagine how difficult it is to try horseback riding in a dress. It took me a while to learn in jeans!

You don't have to worry about the dress. Clothes can be cleaned and hems repaired. And I can make a new dress if I need to.

You made all of these?

Most of them. One or two are from home, dresses that were made for me before my wedding and as a gift after Arwen was born.

Your child?

Yes, my youngest. I have twin boys as well.

Wow. I've heard a lot about the wonders of twins. And children in general, of course.

It must be hard.

It was but it's gotten easier now that the twins are grown. Although, many people still have trouble telling them apart.

But a parent always knows?

They do and my boys are very easy tell apart when you know what to look for. Like the way Elladan smiles or the way Elrohir holds his sword.

I'd love to meet them someday, but I hope you get to go back to them.

[He taps his temple, then holds out a case.]

But before I forget! If the glasses get smudged, a cloth and some water should take care of it. Here's the case, you can keep them here while you're sleeping or washing up.

I hope that you'll have the chance. I know they'd be of more user in a war than I would but I'm not sure I could handle seeing them go off to fight.
