[When the video clicks on, it's nicely arranged so that Seles is visible sitting in a chair in her room and her hat doesn't take up too much of the screen. Her hands are folded formally in her lap off screen and she gets right to the point.]

I'm interested in training... So for those of you who happen to be experienced in using swords, I'd like to request that you share your routines with me. I could make my own, of course, but I've heard it's more educational to encompass knowledge from a large variety of people.

And could Cloud respond to me as soon as possible? It's... regarding the same thing!

[The small voiced surprise comes first before she can compose her words. She had thought he'd never reply at this point (she waits a lot but that doesn't make her patient!) so it was good to know he was around.]

Practice is important, but in a real fight it's experience that makes the difference. You should find someone you can spar with.

Squats... I see. [And weights. She actually makes note of this, even though the thought is a little nerve-wracking. She can do it! She can!

Mm, but sparring... That gets her to pause for the shortest moment before she speaks up yet again.]

Good! [That's exactly what she wants. But at that question, she shifts from where she is, and it should become apparent that she's finding and checking a clock.]

The training rooms?

[He got the whole tour regarding where those were. Not so much where he could do his grocery shopping and other important things. Still working on that one.]

[She can already be heard grabbing her things (aka her purse) and standing from the chair, taking the tablet along with her. Fifteen minutes was a little generous for when she wanted them to meet simply so she could get there at a nice pace.]

[He makes an affirmative sound and hangs up. After that though he does take his time. A spar, hunh... With a kid. Picking up his swords he tests the feel of the combined lot for a moment before strapping the whole thing to his back.

Spars are nice, but this reminds him he owes Denzel a few lessons. If he doesn't get back in time there's going to be a lecture waiting... Heading for the door he'll make a quick jog to the training rooms, picking a relatively empty one as he waits for Seles.]

You're here already! [The voice is a little surprised as she walks in a few minutes later, holding her purse and brushing out her skirt to be sure she's presentable. If she had known he'd be this fast she'd have walked a little faster, maybe...]

I mean... I hope I didn't make you wait too long.

[He looks up as Seles walks in, but shakes his head at the worry.]

Not too long. [He could say more, but he just leaves it at that.] Are you ready?

[She wanted to be treated seriously. ...Right? Reaching back he slips his sword out of the harness and pulls it around to stand it against the floor. The first blade he unlocks is one of the smaller side ones and OK frankly I don't have the shit to go into detail about this. SIDE BLADE GOES ON HIS BACK. Hollow blade comes out and goes in his hand. The rest of the joined swords go on his back cause why not.]

[At the question, Seles glances down to her purse, pulling out her sword before hesitating a moment longer. Cloud seems ready for a sword fight... And sword is what she wants to get better with, right? It seems to be the thing she feels she knows the least about. Even with the whole feeling of combat being a dizzying blur, sword stands out as the worst to her.

So... maybe she should focus on it. And not feel the need to try anything else right now. Her awkward hesitation is pretty clear as she twitches a little in place before finally stepping off to the side to set the rest of her purse down softly. Then she'll walk back to where she had been standing previously, plant herself and hold her sword so the blade is pointed into the ground to the side of her.

Um... This... She thinks she's ready, at the least.]

I'm ready.
