[When the video feed initially comes on, it's pointed slightly too high and catches only the upward flip of hair on the person trying to use it. However the angle is quickly corrected and Tintin comes fully into view.]

I've been doing some digging since my arrival; is it true that the network is the only information delivery system here? No papers at all? [The question's clearly a bit hypothetical, as he barrels forward regardless.] With the network being so active, it seems like it would be easy to misplace high priority information. Or is there a way to break how it's sorted down a little more specifically? By the sound of it, most of us are out of our depths here and it might be a good idea to have some kind of system that's a little more-- [He waffles a moment, looking for the right word.] --well, 'focused' I suppose.

On that note, I'd appreciate any information you might have regarding a few statistics: how long the average Transport stays in Exsilium, any census data on hand, how common the missions the Initiative sends us on are and the like. Any hard fact is a good one.

--Oh! [He sharpens, suddenly serious.] And if anyone knows where to find dog food, I'd appreciate that as well. It comes in a can.

[The feed clicks off.]

We're given these accounts by the Initiative itself - petition them for an extra one for the newspaper itself if you're unwilling to use your own account? [ Another pause, and her hair twists around her face idly. ] There is no easy system by which to gain access to those that might have that power.

There's a thought. Maybe then with a separate account, other people could access it as well for collecting articles and the like. It'd certainly be easier to keep things localized that way... [He drifts off, clearly thinking through a few things before--]

Oh, well, I imagine if I go poking around somewhere I shouldn't, I might find someone pretty quickly. That's generally how these things work. Ask for forgiveness, not permission right?

Not to mention organized. But I wish you luck with the endeavor regardless of the outcome.

At your own risk, of course. I have heard they have no qualms about throwing those who break their rules in jail.

[Tapping his lower lip thoughtfully, Tintin frowns deep in thought. It's worth a try, but she's right. It wouldn't do to get himself tangled up with the authorities of Exsilium first thing, now would it?

Shaking his head, he focuses back to the tablet and offers her a quick smile.] Fair enough, I appreciate the warning. Thank you for your help, ah-- I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name.

Queen Medusalith Amaquelin-Boltagon. [ A slight nod of her head, and her hair twists around her face again idly. ] And you are?

[Tintin goes suddenly pale and then very red. A queen? Great snakes, he's been talking to a queen and didn't even know it! He rapidly tries to think back on their conversation, willing him to remember if he's said anything he might need to apologize for.]

Tintin. It's, ah, a pleasure to meet you Your Majesty.

And you, Tintin.

[ She can't help the small smile at his reaction before it disappears again. ]

Forgive me if I do not wish you an enjoyable stay in hopes that none of us remain here long.

I could say the same, Your Majesty. Though-- [And he's tentative now, still a little cowed by the fact that he's speaking to royalty.] --maybe if we all focus on tearing down this UE business as quickly as we can, we'll be able to go home sooner. And I don't just mean on the missions we're assigned, but perhaps if we could do more while we're here on the island as well...

[He trails off. Surely someone's thought of this already.]

I concur. However, you would be surprised at how difficult it is to get anyone here organized into some sort of order when ordered to by the Initiative, to speak nothing of doing it out of our own free will. Multiple armies for rebellion against our hosts have been proposed, but nothing has come from it.

[ But the thought hasn't been far from her mind, either, and she's planning on doing something about it. ]

Against the Initiative? [He seems more than a little surprised at the idea.] Don't get me wrong, kidnapping isn't really a fantastic way to start the day but it seems like they genuinely need our help. Or someone's help. And I can't imagine they'd want to keep us around after; why bother rebelling against the Initiative when putting that energy to clearing up the conflict with the United Earth seems like the fastest way to get home?

[But oh, now he's just thinking out loud isn't it he?]

The relationship between the transports and the Initiative would seem to work best when there is trust and communication between the two. Bringing us here, no matter how good their intentions, instantly puts us all on edge. How can we trust their words with that in our minds?

[gingerscoops]

No, that's more than fair. But I'm not sure if they're really able to ask anyone's permission before bringing us here - they don't really seem capable of using the technology that way, do they? And it seems like they're doing their best to try and provide for us while we're here. Though there's plenty of reason to doubt the act that the UE is - what? Taking advantage of the places where we originally come from? I suppose that's a bit flimsy...

[He frowns, clasping his hands thoughtfully behind him.]

[medusalith]

[ The thought makes her smile. ]

That depends on if the places we come from can be easily pillaged in the first place. [ Medusa is relatively confident the Kree won't put up with another invasion even if she isn't there to command them to defend it. ] But I would agree with the fact that they seem to not understand how to work the technology to its full potential - there have been a few interesting mistakes regarding their use of it.

[Tintin perks up visibly; if he was anything like the white terrier in his company, his ears would be pricked and tail wagging.]

'Interesting?' Like what?

A month or two back individuals found themselves pulled from a time that was not the one they were originally brought her in. Younger or older, although there was no way to tell which it would be.

[ Medusa was spared that indignity, thankfully. ]

That must've been strange. It seems like there's a fair number of young people here for what is essentially a war zone. It must've been chaos if they got even younger...

[He talks about it as if he's not one of the younger members of the Transport population himself.]

Thankfully a number of younger individuals simply got older and were able to aid the rest of us. But it was unusual, yes, and an annoyance for how long it went on.

That's fortunate. Still, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again. Is that sort of thing very regular here then?

[medusalith]

Not that exact thing, no. But there is no shortage of interesting events - both good and bad.

[gingerscoops]

Suppose it keeps things from getting too dull then. [He wouldn't really know what to do with himself if left to his own devices. As it is, he can manage with the occassional impromptu adventure. That, at least, is fairly typical.]

I, ah, probably ought to get going-- [And the sentiment is echoed heartily by the barking of a small dog somewhere off camera] --but thank you so much. It was a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty. [He gives her a slight incline of his head in some small sort of bow. That's what you did when it came to queens and that sort of thing, wasn't it?]

[ She gives him a nod of her head in return - not as deep, of course, but a sign of respect all the same. ]
