I can't think of an alternative, so that's how I understand it, yes.

How many of us usually end up finding a way of going back?

That varies greatly. Some of us have been sent home and returned, and many of us have been sent home seemingly permanently. Some of us have been here for a year, with no coming or going. There is no pattern or correlation, as far as I have heard anyone tell.

So as far as anyone knows, it's completely random and there's no telling of when or how we can get back to where we belong?

As I am not one of those who have any pressing business at home, I cannot say that these truths grow less severe with time. But based on observation, I can tell you you will grow used to them, if you remain here long enough.

Listen, I do know a little bit more that might put you at ease, but it is confusing. From what I've experienced with going home, coming back, and the people I know here and there personally, I can say with some authority that you're still there with her. Time doesn't necessarily stop at home, nor do you cease to exist there, if I'm correct.

I guess if these people are capable of time travel, then that might be plausible. About as plausible as this entire situation is.
