AUDIO; log 01

Look, I'm still getting this whole thing to sink in. I still can't really wrap my head around it, but I have to know one thing.

Is there a little girl out there? Her name's Clementine. She's eight, has a baseball cap on with the letter D on it.

And Clem, if you're there, please tell me.

I'm sure if she does arrive, someone here will see her and let you know, if she doesn't find you first herself, or you find her. New arrivals seem to happen about every few weeks though. If you are here, there is also a chance she might come as well. Is this Clementine your daughter?

It's no trouble, there's no need to thank me. Though if you were looking after her back home, I hope there might be others who can in the meantime. Though....I think it was basically that nobody back home seems to notice us missing.

That's good to hear. In any case, from what I've gathered I'm not sure people back home notice we are gone, so I don't think she will need to worry about you being gone back home. I can keep an eye out for her, and I am sure others will as well, but it is unfortunately true that even children are not spared from being pulled here to help in some way as well. [Which, Lacus could still be considered as one, being still sixteen herself, but there are younger children here. Which is something of a soft spot with Lacus, given her helping Reverand Melchio at the orphanage back at Orb.]

I'm sorry to hear that about her parents though. It was wonderful that you stepped up to take care of her in that case.
