Look, I'm still getting this whole thing to sink in. I still can't really wrap my head around it, but I have to know one thing.

Is there a little girl out there? Her name's Clementine. She's eight, has a baseball cap on with the letter D on it.

Where I'm from, the dead come back. Just, they're not themselves. They become mindless and hungry, eating the living.

We have creatures like that within my world. No, those I resurrect have their minds and all faculties intact, as though they were never dead at all.

That's a useful ability to have, but I imagine it must be hard on you. It's a lot of responsibility.

The undead in general are unusual to me. They just started showing up three months ago where I'm from. But I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed demons by now.

They do make themselves apparent.

All areas, I'm assuming. Hard to say. I lost contact with the rest of the world, so as far as I know maybe things are better outside of Georgia.

Sorry. Georgia's a state. Our country is the United States of America. A state is just a territory in that country.

Was the attack truly that overwhelming?

Nobody expected it. And it doesn't matter how you die, since you'll always come back. Short of being shot in the head.

Come back as— always? In Rune-Midgard, a human must be attacked by a zombie, ghoul, or other undead creature to succumb to the unholiness. Do you mean it effects every corpse in your world?

[There's a brief pause.

Yes. I don't know what caused the infection, but if I die, I will come back as a walker. A bite just kills the person and then they come back, but we're all already infected.

[ there's a pause here too, where he looks... more or less horrified. wow cannot think of a worse fate, hello. ]

You're sure about that? I mean, this isn't from your world. Not that I'm against trying.

I was able to cleanse encroaching undeath when it threatened Exsilium not long ago, although the source was of the world of Azeroth. While nothing is certain, I am more than willing to make the attempt.

I would like to give you time at least to settle into your lodgings here, but... as soon as possible would be preferred.
