4th coil;; anonymous, text

[The post is public and easy to read for everyone, but if you're a paranoid type hoping to crack the anonymity he's made it as ridiculously hard as possible to hack for the most part, except for several completely exposed paths you can find with just a bit of searching and know-how that will help you crack the anonymity on this post with ease...but if you manage to hack your way through everything, it unfortunately leads to an unregistered device with no ID. Better luck next time you nosy sons a' bitches.

And yes, it's a dutifully crafted lure designed just to fuck with you people in the first place.

So I was just wondering...what's the stay/go ratio around here like?

If you're interested, just tell me whether or not you'd rather stay here once the war ends, or go back home a.s.a.p.

Reasons optional, but preferred.
[The more depressing the better, he could use a laugh.]

My father was half-demon.

The face it gives me screams 'fiend-blooded', and that's usually when the torches and ropes come out.

When you have more friends amongst the non-humans - fae and woods-creatures and even some of the more intelligent creatures some call monsters - than people in 'civilization', it's hard to remember why you stand to protect them. If I didn't have my faith to sustain me, I might become what they think I am out of pure anger at how they treated me.

Here, at least, only a few have treated me shabbily.

I grew up in a temple. I was raised to a strict moral code, and my adoptive father - who saved me from being killed at birth - would be disappointed in me if I actually went feral.

I have a specialized set of skills, which keeps me working and allows me to live reasonably well, because I can do what few others can and therefore makes me useful. I have friends who aren't human at all, and recognize the person I am instead of the face I have. There are even a few places where I actually am welcomed now, after having helped people at no small cost to myself.

The Fates gave me a less-than-excellent hand to play. I refuse to let either of them beat me.
