So, um, first off I just wanted to say hi to all the new people! And say that I'm sorry you're kind of stuck here, too. It's tough, but there are lots of nice people here, so if you're having trouble with anything I bet you'd be able to get help. Except going home, that's still a mystery for everyone.

[And then a smile breaks out on her face, and she moves her tablet so the feed shows a wing of one of the gyms with a barre running along a wall, and mirrors attached to that wall. As quickly as she turned the camera away from her face, it's focused back on her.]

I know last time that I mentioned I was looking for a place to dance, and some other people mentioned they'd be interested in the same thing, so I asked the Initiative people if it would be okay if we could have a wing in one of the gyms to turn into a place for the dancers here to practice. And, um, they said yes, so here we are! There's not going to be formal lessons or anything, unless somebody else wants to set something like that up. I just wanted to let everyone know that they can stop in whenever they want to!

Oh, and - if there's anybody interested in going outside the city sometime, I'm looking to take a trip or two. Before anyone gets all worried, I know to be really careful, and I've done it once before.

[With another smile, she leans forward to end the feed.

Well, it's like...

[She pauses, wondering how to explain this.]

I've never really been able to go outside the boundaries of the city I was in before this, so I guess I don't want to waste that freedom while I'm here.

[There's a beat of silence, and then he exhales.]

Ah. I get that. [Another pause in which he wrangles a moment with two opposing trains of thought. On one hand, Ahiru's just a kid and shouldn't be wandering around outside the city alone. On the other... he's got no heart, so he really shouldn't even care. So why does he? After a moment, he makes a sibilant sort of noise.]

You shouldn't go by yourself, though. I guess if you want, I could go with you. Since I kinda know my way around, and all.

Oh, sure! I know to be more careful than that. I even took company last time! If you'd like to come, I think you'd be a pretty good companion.

... You do? [That's kinda new. Usually people think he's just a snarky sarcastic prickly-pear with an acute inability to give a straight answer. Which is mostly true, actually, but...

[Clearing his throat awkwardly, he pauses briefly before giving a half-shrug he realizes a second too late she can't hear.]

Well, I mean... if anything happened to you I'd have to go beat up whoever did it, and that's like way too much effort, so it's probably best if I just tag along and nip any situations like that in the bud.

[CUTE CHILDREN. HIS ONE WEAKNESS. WRYYYYY]

[A pause, and then an amused laugh.]

That's, um, that's nice of you, I think, but please don't beat anybody up no matter what!

[Dangit, Ahiru, you actually kinda cheered him up, how'd you do that? He smiles faintly and shakes his head.]

When did you wanna go? I should prolly stop being a hermit anyway; I don't think I've left the apartment this week at all.

Oh, gosh! If you've been cooped up that long, you'd probably like it to be soon, huh? How about sometime in the next few days, then? Unless that's too soon.

Nah, I cooped myself, it's my own fault. We can go whenever you want.

Do you normally coop yourself? Try and make sure to remember not to do that, if that's the case!

Depends. I've had a lot on my mind this week, is all. [A soft, bitter sort of laugh.] But I'll try and commit that to memory.

Ah, is there anything you need to talk about? And, um, good!

[Oh, all right, he finds a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. What is it about kids that tends to disarm him?] Heh, nah, don't you worry about me, Ahiru. I just think too much. It's an unfortunate side effect of my job, you might say.

Your job? What's that?

[That's... complicated, Ahiru. He pauses, and she might hear him inhale as he considers his answer, but his voice catches a moment. Well, how would he describe the Organization without... giving it away?]

I guess I might call myself an Information Appropriation Specialist.

I don't really know what that means at all!

[A good natured laugh.]

[A laugh, despite himself. Well at least he hasn't lost his touch.]

So, like... Making a plan for watching stuff?

Well, I'm usually the guy doing the watching. Pal'a mine does the planning part. But you're on the right track.

So, um, what are you watching?

Whatever's interesting, mostly. [Even if that means deviating from the mission parameters.] My job is mainly to keep an eye on the goings-on in worlds the people I work for think might have useful materials. Ah... sort of like a scout, if you will.

[Well, the recon part of it is pretty much that. He'll leave out the taking out Heartless part for now. That's sort of on a need to know basis.]

Oh, that sounds sort of cool! What do they use the materials for once you find them?

[A pause, and then a startled laugh.]

I-It's really that mysterious, huh?

[He kind of laughs in response. Surprisingly enough, he really does a bit better after chatting with Ahiru some. Well, as much as he can 'feel', that is.]

I think you'll find I'm full of mysteries. Never a dull moment when you hang out with me, got it memorized?
