[It's a brilliantly sunny day, everyone. It's raining, of course, but not lightly enough to turn to mist and block the light, and not heavily enough to drive everyone indoors.

The cause for the brilliance is sitting atop the highest structure he could find near the center of the city, shining like a star. Best not to look at him directly. You might even want to buy sunglasses, although there's probably no one who sells them.

He's not illuminating the whole city, of course, but he's trying.]

Yeah. I haven't seen any of the weres where I lived, but I do know of the vampires.

Your tales is different than the ones I know, but my universe has something similar at least.

There are many sects of vampires, and the curse of lycanthropy, and mutants who may transform at will. They are considered werewolves as well, I believe.

Must get confusing after a while. I know that our numbers are small, but we have a good idea where everyone is. I can't imagine what'll be like if there were a lot of us.

I believe they are generally aware of themselves since they are divided into such sects, aside from the odd outlier.

But that don't mean they would know about who's in a different sect unless they got some kind of sign.

The different sects have different abilities, so perhaps they could tell.

Where I come from, we all have about the same abilities, more or less. That guy said that the first ones were able to do a lot but the power thinned out over time.

Midgardians seem to be growing more powerful rather than less where I am from.

Truly? Midgard as I know it is filled with many powers. The strength of its people is great.

[Though not as great as Asgard, of course, ignoring that bit where they literally brought them to the ground.]

It's probably because we're from different universes. There's a theory called parallel universes where almost everything is the same except one or two little facts.

Yes, I've seen that in action. And I have lived many lives where I was slightly different from life to life as well ... although I do not remember the majority of this.
