I think so. Ashraf usually keeps a lot around.

[A few minutes later, she knocks at the door before letting herself into Jericho's apartment.]

Joey?

[a little twang sounds, which...may or may not be a direct response. it's weird hearing his name-name still. aloud. and...y'know, not in his mom's voice.

he leans forward a bit from where he's perched on the couch, waving when he sees her.]

[Raven follows the sound of his voice, nodding at him in greeting when she sees him.

She always uses his codename in public but when it's only the two of them, she often switches to Joey... Which is more some kind of nickname like 'Cy' or 'Star'.]

Hey.

[She lowers her hood and goes to sit on a chair next to the couch.]

[he fidgets, legs crossing, getting comfy with the guitar settled properly.

his fingers drum on the neck, thoughtful. what to even play? maybe what she's familiar with. something simple, easy to pick up...]

[Raven watches him make himself comfortable and ponder what he should play. Although her face remain emotionless, her gaze lingers on the guitar. That guitar Red X stole from Jericho and that Raven spent so many hours fixing so that the thief would be able to give it to Jericho for Christmas. She wonders if the two boys ever talked about it since then...]

Looks like you took good care of that guitar since you got it back.

[that notion's always lingering in the back of Joey's mind, really...but thieves are pretty good about not being caught! at least, this one is. man, he doesn't really get that guy, but...it was a really nice thing to do. so Raven's not crazy for hanging around him, far as this kid's concerned.

but to the here and now, he nods, his smile a little self-conscious. no more leaving this baby out in the middle of nowhere, that's for sure; he treats it like precious metal!]

Good. [Well it wasn't because he was careless that it got broken in the first place. But still: better safe than sorry.]

Should I go make some tea while you decide what piece you're gonna play?

d'oh! he lightly smacks his forehead, the outward display of crap, I knew I forgot something!

but he nods, his smile more sheepish than ever, the hand gesturing in a go ahead kind of fashion.]

[Raven just stands up and heads to the kitchen. She never minds making tea, she could do it in her sleep if she were a sleepwalker. Also she knows where everything is in Jericho's kitchen: it's not the first time she comes visit.

Five minutes later, she comes back carrying a tray with two cups and a steaming tea pot.]

So you've made up your mind?

[more or less! he's already begun getting into the rhythm of the melody – no less organic and stream-of-concsiousness than usual. it compliments the little nod he gives, easing into a chord shift.]

[She pours some hot tea in each of the mug.]

Let's hear it, then.

[already on the case. CONSIDER THIS, except...you know, less refined and not as on-the-mark. kid's not a genius at this thing, after all; just for peace and thought.]

[Just the kind Raven likes. He's gonna be a really fine guitar player someday.

Raven doesn't say a word, she just sips at her cup quietly.]

[it's a pretty nice moment, that's for sure. of course, he has to break up the song to reach for the tea she's poured for him. he finds it's either too hot or too cold, so the window to getting a sip when it's just right is preeeetty small.]

[The moments they share always are. Raven's become pretty fond of Jericho over the year they've spent here together. He's become her family, just like the other four Titans back home.]

We should go eat a pizza together someday.

[Maybe she'll ask Grant to come. But maybe not the first time they'll go. She doesn't want it to be awkward to either of them.]

[the raised-eyebrow expression comes in time with a fresh strum on the strings. pizza, huh? he only needs to give it a second of thought before he nods, smiling. it sounds nice! pizza's good, right?

so he's heard.]

[Jericho's so expressive, Raven hardly needs telepathy to understand him. She gives a barely there smile at his reaction, before quickly hiding it behind her tea cup.]
