Has anyone seen my father? Varian Wrynn? Normally when he leaves like this I'm aware, but-

[But he's not sure, and he's uneasy even if he's doing well at hiding most of it.]

[The answer surprises him, causing his gaze to soften a little with worry. surely such a long time in this place weighs on you eventually.]

Mmm, it's not the longest people have been here. We've got a few around for over a year? Back from when the project first started, I think.

From a great many places, who can do all sorts of amazing things! Some scary ones too, but more of the amazing than the scary. I wouldn't give this up for the world. Well... okay, I would, if the world needed it, but I don't think any one world does quite yet.

I'm afraid business back home was too pressing for me to enjoy this place as much as I might under normal circumstances, but ...the experience is definitely invaluable, and the company mostly pleasant, with few exceptions.

Figures, most people are worried about home! I think I'd be more worried if I hadn't heard better news from someone I trust to know. Then again, how much happens when we're away? How much doesn't? If no one notices, then what? I wonder what that worry energy is really doing for us some of the time.

Augh, anyway, totally! For the people being pretty much great all around.

Sure, but it's not exactly a question with an easy answer! Home is like a place I'm familiar with, something like places in history from here, but not as far back in history as other places. Things get complicated to explain, you know!
