Irregular fighter, usually working behind enemy lines to disrupt the lines of supply and command, and gain information about enemy activity. Part spy, part assassin, part saboteur. Not the most glamorous of jobs. I preferred the spy and saboteur part - if you can stop an army by breaking their supply lines, fewer people on either side die.
