[An anxious Cedric appears on screen. He looks from left to right, his mussed hair flying just about everywhere. He taps the screen to ensure that it's turned on---in his mind this somehow serves a purpose. When he's sure everything's working, he waves.]

Hello! This is Cedric again. I've talked about this with one or two of you before. I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself or it's something you've all heard before, but this is something I need to sate my curiosity about. It's just that this world is so different from what I'm used to and there are so many different types of people. If that's even the word you prefer. And sometimes we have conflicts with one another.

So I have to ask: what do you think of people who are capable of using magic? Witches, warlocks, sorcerers, casters, wizards, or whatever you choose to call them. Are they all right, do you think? Or not?

I do indeed, from the form you see now to the taming of volcanoes and many uses between.

Wow. Taming a volcano would take enormous power, wouldn't it?

Considerable skill and power, indeed, particularly in the case of particularly unruly ones such as the Lords of Doom, the three volcanoes that surround my city.

That's an apt name for them.

So you must be one of the most powerful wizards around.

Indeed, they earned their reputation well prior to my arrival in that city.

Such is the skill and power that comes with being a dragon of my experience. Although there is little doubt that there are other powerful beings both magical and otherwise here.

...You're a dragon?

[Blink. Stare. What.]

I am indeed, though I may not look it at current, I have found this form quite useful over the years.

[ He gives a wry smile at that. ]

Huh. Some human wizards can take another form with magic, so I suppose the reverse is true.

I talked to another dragon today. I don't know if he had a disguise, though.

Indeed, many dragons from my own world can change their shape, whether to human or otherwise.

Oh indeed? There are a number of dragons that are open about their identities, two at least who are generally found in their natural forms.

Ah, I see.

Yeah. He seemed curious about what magic was, so I explained.

I believe I know of whom you speak.

[ A small smile tugs his lips, the dragon who would bring magic to all metallic's and as of yet had little knowledge of it. ]

What of your own world? Are magic and dragons real and potent things or are they but myth and legend as it appears to be for many others?

Oh, they're real.

[Cedric chuckles awkwardly and rubs his cheek]

A dragon nearly burned half my face off---but that was because she was a mother, and I was tasked with going into her nest to retrieve an egg---not one of hers, but one planted there. I was a threat regardless.

[ Bight raises an eyebrow at that before frowning. ]

It would sound that you were lucky to survive such an encounter. I would assume however that the dragons of your world are far less intelligent than those of Krynn to allow someone to plant an egg in their nest.

I like to think I was skilled enough to escape. That was sort of the point. But I have the utmost respect for dragons.

[He sighs.]

Our dragons didn't talk, as far as I know, and they could only breathe fire. But I'm sure they must've communicated amongst themselves.

That you had that ability to escape shows no small measure of your skill in that matter.

[He nods in understanding at that.]

It would seem to be a similar case to some other worlds that have dragons.

What of magic then, have you personal experience with such matters, whether ability of your own or witnessing others with such abilities?

I'm a wizard. I was trying to sort out if it was really necessary to keep hiding. I don't think it is.

Indeed? I am sure that your skills would be of considerable use here, whatever branch or branches of magic that you study.

I would assume that there are those in your own world from whom you would hide as much?

[theboywhodied]

Yeah. We hide from non-magical people to keep another fight from breaking out. Taunting, resentment, and persecution aren't exactly pleasant.

But I'll help however I can here.

[dragonlordbight]

No, I would wager such things would be far from pleasant indeed.

[ He shakes his head at that. ]

That is good to hear.

Should you be willing, I would be interested in learning about the magic of your world at some time or another.

Do you mean that you want me to come over and demonstrate?

[dragonlordbight]

I would not be opposed to a practical demonstration. In return should you have any questions of my nature or magic, or even a demonstration of such I would be happy to oblige.

I'd love to. As long as you don't burn my face.

[He's laughing, clearly not serious.]

I shall endeavor not to then.

[ His amusement clear in his tone. ]

Have you a time that would best suit? The training halls would be quite suitable for demonstrations of the magical variety, though little room to move around in my true form.

[ Given the size of the training rooms that was saying something. ]

[Cedric nods---he knows dragon size, or thinks he does.]

Early evenings are probably best---do you have a space you can fit in?

Early evenings would suit well.

Indoors, not likely. Although there are areas that would at least allow you some cover from the rain. I believe there is a park, or at least what used to be one that may prove suitable should you wish to brave the weather.
