Wherever I go, I endeavor to remember where I came from. My people celebrate the Lunar Festival around this time of year. It is to honor our ancestors.

...I had been hoping to celebrate this at home, with my family. It would be my first Lunar Festival with my new son. [Her voice isn't exactly annoyed per se, but perhaps a bit...inconvenienced. She's not one to blame people, but she would prefer to be home, Initiative! It kinda sucks a little.] It is important for him to learn about his new family's history.

[There's a long pause.]

...I see that the people of this city also have a holiday this week. It seems to be about something completely different from my festival, but there are fireworks. I suppose I can pretend they are for my holiday as well, yes? [Her voice a little lighter now. Might as well try to get a positive spin on things, right?] Happy Lunar Festival, friends.

My people afford great respect to our elders. It is thought that great age brings wisdom. And our ancestors are, of course, very old. [ .D. ]

There is another tale associated with the festival. Have you heard of the great beast Omen?

Your ancestors are still alive?

No, I haven't. I don't know many tales like that.
