At least for now it looks like things are calming down at the moment. After being five again and then the whole mess with everyone feeling like crap.... I don't suppose that happens often around here? I haven't really been here long enough to know for sure myself yet. I heard something about a festival? So I guess it's around the time we would have Valentines back home. [Not that Hisoka ever really celebrated it himself, but still. It could be interesting to learn about different holidays and celebrations others have back home. But regardless, he doesn't seem too thrilled with the upcoming festival, mostly because he's not too big on sweets and it would likely mean large crowds, which he can never stand for too long. And he knows Tsuzuki will probably drag him along to see, given his partners sweet tooth and curiosity.]

Either way, it looks like some new arrivals have been showing up. So, welcome I guess. I'm Hisoka. [Since, introductions were expected and all. He's never been the most social, that was more Tsuzuki's thing.]

I was mostly wondering if people could tell me if I could find a normal weapon? Just, something to help teach someone how to use one, a sword to be specific. Since my...weapon I came with won't really be much use for that sort of thing. It's not exactly a weapon in the traditional sense one might expect. But I want to have something to help, and to defend myself with. [Since, he knows the missions here can be dangerous, and this is a war after all. He might not have any choice but a sword would be a help, and he could use it while he figures out what to do about his empathy if there were normal weapons around.]

Regarding a sword, I'm not quite sure I know where to obtain one a human could use, but are you looking to learn yourself or teach someone else?

[W-what is this. Well, it figures that in the process there might well be some non humans from other worlds pulled here to help, but Hisoka is still initially taken aback by the robot. But it doesn't show, as he then changes to video as well.]

I suppose that might work. I was just wondering, since there were so many weapons we looked at when we first got here, that there might be some normal ones around as well as those that have sentience.

I was taught to use a sword back home, yes. As well as a bow and arrow. That was why I thought I might be able to help when someone asked over the tablets. But I need to acquire a sword first, obviously.

Well, probably. I mean, someone here has to be able to forge things, right?

I guess. I'm sure not all of the weapons could have been brought from the other worlds we came from, so that would make sense, if I could find someone to make me one.

It's....not that big of a deal. I was supposed to be my family's heir, after all. I'll let you know about the wood though. Drift is an interesting name.

Hopefully, I've seen enough people where that someone must have that skill.

Oh, yes. I have a speed frame. Drifting is a technique used for rounding corners at high speeds.

[Hisoka was too young to drive, so he was not quite used to such terms, but for the most part he thinks he gets the idea of what Drift was meaning.]

It's time for valentine's day already?

Well, not quite but it's coming up. Around the middle of February, right? [The only reason Hisoka vaguely recalls this is seeing all the chocolates at the shops back home. He thinks it is about now, at least, but, he has never really celebrated it himself.]

I think so. I can't wait. [After all, any holiday including chocolates is clearly a good thing. Tsuzuki ruffles Hisoka's hair playfully.]

Have you ever gotten chocolate on valentine's day?

[And the hair ruffles get him a look, as Hisoka pouts a little and tries to straighten his hair a bit. Of course Tsuzuki would enjoy the holiday, it did involve chocolate after all. So it figured.]

You would be excited about all this. I...no. Why? You know it isn't like I like sweets that much anyway. People shouldn't need some specific day to remind them to do something for the people important to them.

Well, if you get any candies you know I would always love to get rid of them for you.

[He is amused that Hisoka's so frustrated by the hair ruffle. After all, he's only trying to be playful with him.]

Don't you think it's good to have a day dedicated to this? I think it might help people that are normally shy.

I know. I was counting on it, since it seems they give out food and treats to the younger kids. [And. Well, even if Hisoka is mentally about eighteen by now, his appearance is still that of a younger teenager.]

...I've never really paid it too much attention or really thought about it. But, I guess it might help some people. [Or create a lot of upset, depending on the result of giving flowers or chocolate.]

You might check the training facilities. There's usually some normal weapons in there, but it seems to be different from time to time.

Mine is... special, and I don't have a spare, or I'd offer to lend.

I know there are some there at the training facilities, I just wasn't sure if we were allowed to use them since I thought they might be specifically for the new arrivals to choose from when they get here. But if we can use those then that could work out, at least until I get one of my own.

The ones to choose from, I think, are in the intake facility, which is different from the training facility - if they didn't explain that. They sometimes... make some mistakes. They really need to find someone who can get things like that worked out.

and yes, I brought him with me. Sentient before we came here, and they imbued him with whatever it is makes weapons special here. He says he hasn't felt much, but still.

We worked out a while back that whatever let people hear him speak doesn't work through the devices, or he'd be telling you this. In great detail. And now he's complaining at me about defaming his character. [She smiles a little - a no-teeth smile.] I prefer to call it defining it, but. [She reaches over her shoulder to pat the pommel of the sword.] We've been partners for five years, so we're used to each other now.

The intake one, I see. I'll try remember that.

So your sword can talk to you? [Well, that is new but then, there are probably stranger things considering how many were here from various worlds, there were probably all manner of different and unique weapons if some were pulled from these other worlds.]

I....see. I can't say I've heard of anything like that back home with weapons. [The closest thing Hisoka can think of is Tsuzuki's shikigami and even then that was quite different from a talking sword.]

Some people make weapons, sometimes there's some at the training facilities. I had to improvise too, since I don't have a combat weapon either.

So I might be able to find a weapon to use at the training facility? Though I would like to own one myself, even using one at the training facility would help for now.

I made myself one. Actually, my older self made it, but whatever. Someone here might be able to, depending on what you want.

Right. I'll see what I can find at the facility first, then I might look into getting or making my own.

Tell me, what is Valentine's Day?

A day where people get gifts, usually chocolates and roses, for their significant other - wife, fiance, girlfriend or crush. Usually, it is the male that gives a gift, but girls do as well sometimes. White day, a month following it, is when the reciever gives a return gift. I don't really care about it, people shouldn't need a specific day to show they care about someone that important to them.

It's not that complicated really, but I guess if some people didn't have it back home it makes sense there are some here who had no idea about it.
