I'm pretty sure this wasn't how I planned my day ending, just for the record. I mean I'm all for fighting for what's right and sticking to your beliefs but if you're going to bring in outside help the least you could do it give a little warning, you know? I mean there may have been plans already in progress. Important plans. And while I get that I can't just wisp off back home [ because she's tried ] I'd like to not keep this waiting too long.

So, how do we go about speeding this up, then? [ Even if she knows that isn't how it works and likely won't, she can still try? ] Also, and not to offend anyone out there because I'm sure that you're all lovely, but it doesn't really seem like everyone's exactly prepared for this. Or that there's a whole lot of 'this' going on.

[ There's a quick sigh, a hand through her hair ] Anyway. Hi. I'm Paige, and I'm going to shut up. That could be good. [ Before you offend anyone else, hmm? ]

That's not so bad, then. I can kind of run my mouth sometimes, it's not so great. But, anyway, that still leaves a question. If people can't fight then why are they supposed to? Unless there's something else going on too.

Well, not all our objectives require fighting, exactly. The last couple have been a bit more... deceptively diplomatic.

But even beyond that, there are things to do.

What sort of things?

Rigging an election, finding a futuristic AI program and rescuing it...

There've been battles, too, but I think there's a reason they gather so many of us who are so different. They don't just have one strategy.

They sound prepared at least. [ Prepared in a good way, she hopes ] Does anyone know their end goal?

What that entails, exactly, is less clear.
