[Axel greets the feed with a look that teeters somewhere between abashed and indignant.]

Usually when someone gets sent back in time it's with the added perk of retaining everything they'd learned up til that point. I hope I'm not the only one who's really glad they grew out of who they were ten years ago. [He grins then and spins a frisbee around one finger.] At least I got to keep a souvenir this time, though~

By the way, anybody who shared their food with me when I was so rudely told that my currency from home was no good here, you have my sincere appreciation. [And surprisingly, he means it. Even the sincerity part!]

Well thankfully I grew out of it. Again. I guess all things considered it wasn't the worst moment in my life to have to relive. [That was shortly after that time frame...]

[At that, Phoenix takes his first chance to perk up again, grinning.]

Well that's certainly better than nothing. I'm glad to hear it, and now you're back to being older, and hopefully wiser, Axel.

[Phoenix pls. OBJECTION!] Oh come on, like I'm sure you were a tower of wisdom when you were fifteen, Phoenix.

But I'm pretty sure neither of us were that much worse than the other.

[He has to laugh at that.]

I have to think most people are about the same level of obnoxious at fifteen, really. Some of us might try a little harder than others, but I'm kind of an underachiever. You know, when I have the option. I'd rather nap.

Some are better. [He grins. He likes his daughter. She's cheeky sometimes, but not obnoxious. But Nick is a doting papa.]

In my family, I'm the one who naps more.
