I'm sort of, um, not really new to the whole getting sent to a different world all of a sudden thing, so I don't really have any questions about that. I got everything about the war thing, too, even if I'm not going to have anything to do with it. I did have a few questions about some other things, though, so I'd be really grateful if there's someone out there who knows the answer!

The first thing might seem a little bit silly, but it's important. Um, to me, at least! I just wanted to know if there's a dance studio anywhere in this city, and where it is if there is one. The second thing I wanted to know is kind of more general, but, um, if the words Siren's Port mean anything to anyone here, I'd like to know, and to talk to those people a little bit, if I could. And the third thing...

[She pauses, looking down at her hands, away from the tablet.]

What do you think is the best place here to watch the sun go down? Um, thank you in advance.

It's... [DEAD. EXPLODED. TANGIFIED.] ... similar to this Earth. It didn't rain as much as it does here, but it was always hot. [And there were giant monsters, but he'll skip that bit for now.]

I think always hot sounds better than raining all the time!

What about your friends from back there? Are any of them here?

[At that, he sounds a little more cautious with his answer.]

[He quickly switches the subject--he doesn't want to dwell on that thought right now. It's confusing enough already.]

Yeah. I mean, everyone made a whole life for themselves there, so it'd be bad if they got taken from it.

"There"... um, is that related to the-- ah-- different world experience you mentioned...?

Oh, um, yeah. I guess it's kind of like that everywhere, though. I mean, if you live somewhere long enough, you get used to it and make a life for yourself, so it'd be bad to be taken away from that.

I'd think that... being kidnapped to another world would be considered just as bad.

Well, yeah, but I guess there's nothing we can do about that yet.

[An awkward pause.]

They say they'll send us back when we're done fighting. Maybe-- you'll meet your friends again when that happens.

...Maybe. S-Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so worried! [She laughs, a bit forced.] I'm sure it'll be okay, no matter what.

[That earns a short, polite laugh from him in response.] It's okay. It's... it's natural to be worried in a place like this, isn't it? Even if you're used to being-- kidnapped.

I don't know if I'd call it kidnapping if they didn't mean to do it. And anyways, I can look on the bright side! I mean, it seems like this one might be a little better than the last.

[In terms of the world itself, of course, not what she'd made of it.]

Just one, not counting this one.

No, there wasn't any war, so that was good. [Not to say there was no fighting.]

But you said that this one... you said it was better than your previous one, though.

Oh! It was worse in different ways, I guess. But it doesn't matter much anymore if I'm not there.

Mm. [He decides to abandon this line of thought because it might upset her. Besides, if she's fine with it...]
