Two truths and a lie used to be big with my friends. You say three "facts" about you or things you've done or seen. People try to pick one out as a lie, and then it's their turn to do the same thing. For example:

1. I've been crocodile wrestling.
2. I once flunked a vocabulary test because I forgot to put my name on the top.
3. I crashed a dune buggy when I was twelve and despite totaling the dune buggy, the worst I ended up with was a badly scraped up elbow.

It's okay, I know what you mean. I feel the same way, and then I feel guilty that I'm thinking this way. The thing is, I know if he had any idea I was here, he'd want to be here too. That's just the way he is.

I'm going to say 1 but only because if everyone has a cat I'm going to seriously think I missed out on something growing up! Lucille Ball, isn't that kind of like the name of someone famous?

No, he does. #3 was the lie. And it's the name of an actress, but he didn't name her. He sort of inherited the cat from a relative.

How'd that end up happening? And hahaha, I should have guessed! Though I know people who totally still shop in the kid's section. Can't say it's all bad, they've got some great stuff there! Then again, I like shopping in the "guy's" section too... department stores!

His great great aunt gave Lucille to him, since she was always turning up where he was anyway.

The girls in my town all like those ugly trendy dresses you get at the mall. But I don't. I wear what I want and I don't care if it's in fashion or not.

A lot of the time, guy's clothes are the most comfy. I wear Ethan's shirts and sweatshirts all the time.

I always heard cats really pick their own owners! Sounds like it was more true than I realized.

Ugh, dresses, they're the least practical things in the world. Sports suits and the rest are so much more comfortable and practical! Plus, they look great.

Totally hear you on the guy's clothes comment. I mean, obviously! Given where I like to shop. I've got some of Isaac's sweaters -- he's a former roommate of mine -- and they're pretty much the best way of staying warm on late nights around here.

Did Isaac get to go back home? Or did he just move elsewhere?

He's back home now, along with Scott and Erica and Stiles. All four of them were from the same place, though not the exact same times. They've been back home for a while! Isaac was here for... how many months? Three?

Luck seems to be the only thing that keeps you here or pulls you back. The Inititiave doesn't say they have control, and watching how they use what they have, I'm inclined to believe they're being honest about that much.

They do seem to just throw us at stuff and hope us changing things fixes all their problems.

They say there's a bunch of math behind it, and there probably even is, but there's something that messes up almost every time. Or no, I guess it's something "unexpected" each time! They're not the greatest at planning for the unexpected.

Yeah, I don't see how they can plan everything out perfectly when it comes to time. I think every decision problem affects future decisions that keep branching out and so many things can change. I guess they must really be desperate if this is the only idea they think will work.

People do some interesting things when they feel like they're the underdogs fighting for a worthwhile cause.

What've you heard about the United Earth so far?

I heard they've been keeping the population drugged and docile. They're going to go to our worlds and strip our resources, and they keep dropping stuff on the Hold to try and kill us.

That's a pretty decent summary! They also practice heavy genetic manipulation, if that gets you curious.

Oh, right. Nathaniel said something about the weird animals out there. At the time, I wasn't sure if it was the United Earth or the Initiative who were doing the experimentation though.

United Earth. Initiative's done the whole new realms of possibility experimentation. They've got us!

I don't think anyone in power here cares much about us beyond the fact that we're useful to them.

They're weirdly both okay and not okay with a lot of what we do or ask. It's not very consistent?
