What the hell is this--roleplaying over the network? Seriously? Do I need to roll a D6 to see if I can slay the dragon?

I hate to tell you this, because it may make you pull your head out of your ass, but there's a lot of people here from places that still think that swords and crossbows are pretty nifty technology for making people dead.

If you don't want to make some cash, fuckhead, that's fine. But the Initiative does apparently have a way to bring people back from the dead, and five years ago from my point of view, I was here and got killed. And it fucking hurt.

If you don't give a shit, take a deep breath while sucking your own cock; some of us have things to do to try to not have the place explode or otherwise get destroyed.

Oh, wow, hey, I didn't realize you were such a badass. Especially seeing as how you're publicly asking for someone to go and fetch your little sword for you instead of doing it your damn self.

And I'm not against making some cash, I'm just against sticking my neck out for someone else.

I'm kind of busy getting ready to help the smart guys who are trying to fix the whole people-getting-screwed-up-in-time problem by beating the hell out of the thing that's causing it. Since I don't know exactly when this is going to go off, I figured I'd pay someone to handle a couple things since I don't trust the Initiative to not fuck some things up.

Basic thug stuff. It's what I'm good at. Apparently the thing doing this is intelligent and living in someone's head. If it works out well, we get them separated and then I hit the thing. Works out bad, it's inside someone's head, people have problems with their head cut or blown off, you know? Buys us a chance to unfuck things.

When all this weird time stuff ends, the version of me that you're talking to now is going to go forwards to five years or so from now, the time she belongs. The version of me that's here, now, is going to need it when they bring me back from the dead in a few days.

My problem is that, apparently, due to the time-travel part of things, I don't actually remember who I paid to do this for me, just that it was sitting in my apartment when I got back.

I kind of hate time travel when it's trying to explain this kind of stuff to people. It doesn't work well.

And right now, people are shifting around in time. I'm from the future - five years from now - and a little busy.

So it is planning to die simply because it could be brought back? It seems like it would be much easier to avoid it altogether.

No, I was fighting something that was killing people, and it killed me... a few days ago. Due to the time issues, I'm now here-now.

...now I understand what the Doctor meant about most languages and time travel being bad for each other, it doesn't work to explain it well.

I remember, when this happened to me originally, coming back in the Hold, then going to my apartment and finding my sword there, but - and from what I've been told this is normal - because of the time travel, I've temporarily forgotten who did it.

It's a headache to work through.
