[a testing sound, a little huff of an exhale, and a lapse into quiet. he's hesitant.

but:] Did they say anything about this? Everyone changing...Last time awful things were happening, they said they were working on it. Things got better.

I'm...not very good at using this. Did I miss it? It's... [slight pause. his tone gets gradually more distracted:] It's going to change, like before. And every time we get sent someplace different, something else happens...

[beat.

WAIT:] I meant the Initiatve people, I'm sorry. [a quick, wincing pause. apologies....] They're who I meant should have said something.

Thank goodness for that too, I was worried that something might have happened to all of my friends. ( worried that someone else might have forgotten her, but she keeps that stray thought to herself and hides it behind a smile. )

Oh, but importantly... ( there's a moment pause as a very soft pink light seems to emit from her, raising around a foot off the ground with a grin. ) Definitely one of the better things I got in this change!

Woh–! [well, that pretty much startles him out of his nagging, unpleasant mood and leaves him just...well, startled!

she's just.

yep. just...just floating. and glowing.]

Magic! Though, thinking about it... I never did mention that about myself, did I? ( HMMM, do excuse her as she just hovers on over. ) You see, back home I'm what they call a Puella Magi or a magical girl! And when I went back home, I guess my magic got a little stronger with everything that happened and now I can do something like this easily.

[he freezes up on impulse when she gets closer – magical flying girls........ – but gradually loses his tension as seconds tick by. there's something very...well, in a way, familiar? validating? appealing? attractive? what are words, anyway. he just knows he isn't frightened.

it's hard to follow what she says, though. magic is a strange word, a concept he doesn't have a real definition of, even now.]

I never knew... [as if he should have.] What does it feel like? Is it strange?

I guess it never really came up in our talks. ( which, truly, was nice. although she was happy and proud of her wish, the whole thing always drew her back into thoughts of Sayaka's well-being in this place and Kyouko's worried words about her best friend.

but she draws herself away from those thoughts, and instead focuses on the question asked. )

It's really nice actually, very warm and comforting. ( she pauses, thoughtful before holding her hands out. ) I can show you, if you'd like.

[he hesitates, having to take a minute to process what she meant. him? glow? fly?

it seems absurd for...well, for barely a second. but he remembers it's not so strange for him, is it?

bashfully, he ducks his head in a nod, reaching out to take her hands in turn. it snaps him to attention – the deep well of his soul stirring where it lay dormant, waiting for the beckoning of his contract. a resonation to something different, but familiar.]

( it's a little easier, now that Madoka has had the practice with Sayaka and Kyouko earlier in the day. she takes his hands and with relative ease, her eyes taking on a shade of gold compared to the usual reddish-pink, as she uses her magic to help lift him into the air at the same height as her. unable to help, once again, as her smile widens into a grin.

it is nice, to be able to share this experience with her friends. she is curious though, although her magic is an almost familiar warmth that keeps her at ease- is it different for others? )

[a sound bubbles up in his throat and is stuck there with his surprise, losing gravity. it evaporates and is completely forgotten; its void is filled with a bit of laughter.

flying is definitely a different feeling in the flesh!

with the joyful laugh in his voice:] A surprise! I don't know how to describe...

( she likes it, his laughter. unable to help her own, but when has she ever? still, it's always nicer with someone else. )

I'll still take that as a good thing! I still can't completely explain it myself, it's... a lot of things at once for me.

You're amazing. [it pops right out of his mouth without even a thought, and even a few seconds following, he doesn't seem to realize he even said it. until he does and he kind of does a bit of a hiccup-startle, extra weird (and a little scary) with the whole no-ground-under-his-feet thing. sorry, hands, for the weird bit of waving about going on.]

Geah–! I! Whoa–– [flying while still connected to a body: WEIRD.] Sor'!

[revelation]

Amaz- woah! ( well that was a short lived thought. her hands go weird along with his, not wanting to let go and drop him but sort of having a hard time following his own. once things settle, she sighs and smiles. )

It's... it's okay! ( she laughs, hopefully proving her point. ) Good thing we're not that far off the guard, I was worried there for a minute. And, ah... thank you too.

[he laughs nervously as she talks, still not feeling wholly situated with this whole floating business.]
