Wow. Human technology really improved! Still this place isn't really Kuukan after all. That'd explain why my tutors aren't chasing me around. Cool. I can live with that. My old man's too busy probably to notice me gone as always.

Fine, fine. It beats starving any day.

[Tenjou looks up at the guy who called his name.]

Hey. I didn't make you wait, did I?

Kitsune udon is the one with fried tofu. They call it kitsune because they say foxes love fried tofu.

I don't know. Most of the foxes I've met don't eat it all the time. Some old story going way back, even before my old man and he's been Inari for forever.

Foxes and fox spirits actually. It's kinda weird, I know.

Inari's the Shinto god of rice and other things. Foxes are traditionally the associated animal to him.
