[ THAT SURE IS A GLOVED HAND COVERING THE CAMERA but never fear, she figures it out after a moment and waves sheepishly. Exsilium, say hello to one half of your new magical girl duo. ]

Looks like there's been a bit of a problem, huh? Lucky for you guys, magical girl Sayaka is here to take care of everything! [ She holds her sword up with a grin, cape fluttering behind her. ] Just leave it to me! If anyone needs any help, I'll definitely be there straight away.

[A second later, another little magical girl face pops up. There's some fumbling around when she and Sayaka nudge shoulders and push together for room, and then she clears her throat and begins, nervously:]

If you say so...are all other magical girls this flashy?

[Mami-senpai had not mentioned it. She had also stressed the importance of keeping their magical girl personas a secret, but surely in this strange place, it wouldn't matter much, right? ...She hoped so.

Kyouko bows her head toward the camera politely, and speaks up a little louder.] Excuse me, everyone! I don't mean to be too forward, but...

[She straightens up a little, gets her game face on. She's holding a spear about twice her size, but it doesn't look like she's struggling to hold it.] We noticed there are a lot of kids around, and we want to help! So - please count on us! We'll help gather all of them up.

[A pause. She turns to Sayaka, and in a stage-whisper:] Did that sound cool enough?

You sounded fine! Geez, Kyouko, you worry too much.

[ ooc; tags will come from both in separate threads! edit: threadjacks are happening. feel free to action it up if you run into them anywhere in the hold, they will be all over. ]

[She moves the network to another side, making sure not to accidentally drop it, and the view of outside the Initiative Hold is visible, right where she stands.]

This building over here.

[Off to the side, Kyouko is patting down her uniform. She eventually comes up with a box of pocky sticks, and gives it a bemused look.]

Excuse me, [Glancing over Sayaka's shoulder...she waves the box.] but I have snacks. I'll give you this when we come to find you.

[Sheryl looks owlishly at the box of pocky, then widens her eyes in glee. She's never been gifted snacks before, which is why she appears touched. These girls are so nice!]

O-Okay! [A tiny nod and a slight fidget.] Thank you so much...!

[Something about that thankful expression strikes a chord in Kyouko, and she kneels down a little, lowering her voice.]

Ah, I hope this isn't rude to ask you, but do you... [Gosh, this is awkward. Her eyes dart over to Sayaka briefly before returning to the screen.] When's the last time you had anything to eat?

[She shakes her head slowly, knitting her tiny brows in thought. When did she last ate...?]

I don't remember. I think it's a while ago. [Back home, at least. A long pause with more fidgeting.] I just ate an apple I found at the can.

I see... [...Ah. So she'd guessed right. Her expression is sympathetic.]

H-hey, I don't know much about this place, but if you stick around me, I'll make sure you have food while you're here. No one should have to go hungry. [She's not sure how she'll guarantee that, but this weird card with her name on it had money on it, and she'd found so many snacks in the room she'd woken up in it had been almost obscene. She's definitely not going to let anyone go hungry, even if she has to give away all those snacks.]

I'm Kyouko. Do you mind telling me your name?

[Suddenly, Sheryl feels a strong tug in her heart at hearing Kyouko's words, the sense of hope emitting within them. For a little girl who had to survive on her own without a mother or father, much less an actual shelter, relief may be within her grasps after all.

"No one should have to go hungry."

A smile slowly appears on her face as she reaches up to rub her eyes, her voice turning hushed.]

It's Sheryl...

[ At the sound of introductions, Sayaka leans back into the feed; looking over at Kyouko with a grin. ]

Sheryl, huh? I'm Sayaka. [ Sure she introduced herself on the video but this is more personal!! ] Kyouko's a really nice girl, so you'll be fine with her. She found a lot of food already.

[ SHE SAW THAT APARTMENT ]

No one's even been this nice to me before...

[Okay, no, she must not cry little tears of joy at the act of kindness bestowed upon her. Must not, must not, must not.

But the smile that's already on her face grows bigger, and she bows her head down in gratitude.]

T-Thank you, Kyouko and Sayaka. [And again--] Thank you so much!

[ Wow, now that's a thank you. She holds her hands up, doing her best not to blush. ]

Hey, you don't have to thank us. This is our job! [ The best job. ] Once we find someplace safe, we'll take you there with the other kids.

Ah, what Sayaka said! You don't have to thank us for this. We'll be there right away!
