[ Holly's first network broadcast is a simple text post for two reasons:

The first is that she's still not too happy about the prospect of exposing her face (and potentially her species) to a city that's populated by mostly humans.

The second is that some things are just easier to ask for this way. Things such as 'assistance from strangers'. ]

Two questions.

1) Any tech-heads out there with experience in mechanical wing design/repairs? Think one of mine's broken. I'll give you more info if you consider yourself up to the task.

2) Magic. I'm looking for anyone with magic that's replenished by nature. I'll need some help with that too, seeing how the environment here's been completely destroyed. [ Human greed is as limitless as ever, she types out, then deletes, because she's trying to get help, not start a fight. ]

So, I don't have anything to offer in return. At least not upfront. But if you have anything that I'm after, let me know. We can figure something out.

The demons I knew were like that, too. Well, on the whole hating humans thing. They had a good reason, though.

[ An almost thoughtful pause. ]

I was wondering what happened to them.

Way I learned it is demons missed these gods called Titans. They wanted to remake them, but when they tried, they made humans instead. It kind of pissed them off. I can see why they missed the Titans, though. Dudes made a lot of awesome shit, including Heavy Metal.

[He frowns, the tone of his voice turns a little low, a hint of anger in his voice.]

All these assholes wanted to do was enslave and control people. They killed some real close friends of mine when all they wanted was freedom.

Hold on a sec... are you saying these demons made humans?

[ Because she can't really envision her demons doing that at all. ]

Yeah. It's kind of a long story, but the Titans left because they were too fuckin' awesome for the planet to handle. The demons found some remains and tried to remake them with some fucked up magic.

The end result? Humans.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we must be talking about different types of demons. Ours didn't even have magic once they warped.

Probably. Dudes used orgies and violence for their magical shit. It was really creepy.

[ She pulls a face. ] Ugh. Yeah. Completely different.

That still makes me wonder what happened to mine, though. We were supposed to be returning them home when I wound up here.

[ She looks off at a far wall, leaving the final word unspoken: alone. ]

I'm sure we can find the answers to that somewhere. It wouldn't surprise me if these Initiative guys know a lot more than they're letting on.

[Eddie looks up from her wing pack, shrugging his shoulders.]

But that's assuming we're all on the same timeline.

Yeah. We should have known that messing with the time stream would be a bad idea, in the end.
