oncearanger: (what.)

I think so. It was mentioned in someone else's previous post, and I wanted a little for myself. I foresee a lot of late nights in my future.

But if you're not drinking coffee to stay up this late, are you just a night owl sort of person?

Oh. Are you anticipating something? Anxious about it? I can't imagine the situation here is great for sleeping.

As for me, I stay up because the quiet of the night helps me think. I don't work late at night, that would disturb my roommate, but I sketch out ideas.

I've definitely had those nights.

Do you think that if you exhaust all the possibilities you can that you'll get to sleep? Sometimes that helps me, sometimes it doesn't.

How did you lose it? Can you get it again? Maybe not tonight, but...soon?

Sometimes it helps me to build something in my head. If building's not something you do, imagining something to write might help. Or something to cook. A path to run along, imagine whatever you like to do.

That's terrible luck. But the Initiative will issue you a new one, right? They can't let you go without a weapon.

Anyway, just try to picture it in your mind. I try to imagine things slotting into place. Axes, wheels, an engine, a frame, doors...

The more you work through something in your mind, the easier it is to do.

Okay. As long as you'll be all right with whatever you get.

Just give it a try. Sometimes you can think yourself into such an exhaustion that you finally get to sleep, but it takes a while. It works better for me than trying to clear all thought from my mind.

No, I'm used to it. I'm so used to it that I can't really slow down and stop thinking so much, though I wish I could.

Then maybe clearing your mind works better for you?

But I can only imagine you've been trying that all night.

Oh! Yeah, I imagine that would help.

So if you've talked it all out, can you try clearing your head? I'm probably the worst person to ask for tips about that, but maybe one of your friends knows.

I'm glad I could be of assistance.

You don't need me to tell you to try to get some sleep, but good luck anyway.
